Bracken B&B is set in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains adjacent to Trooperstown woods. The beautiful Village of Laragh is only 1.5km away with Glendalough just a few minutes drive. Here you have some of the best sightseeing in Ireland at the monastic ruins. With numerous routes to choose from for the casual walker to the serious hill walker this is certainly an area to get out and about. The beautiful landscape is also highly recommended to painters and photographers alike.

Transportation
The Saint Kevin's bus service runs daily from Dawson Street in the heart of Dublin City Center to Glendalough and also stops directly outside the house. If your not sure exactly where we are just ask the driver to let you know when you've arrived at Bracken!

Bray is roughly 25km from Bracken offering the Dart commuter train which runs all day to and from Dublin City Center.

Glendalough
The Valley of the two lakes. Site of a 6th century monastic settlement founded by Saint Kevin. See the round tower or go hill walking for some of the most beautiful views in Ireland

Roundwood
The highest town in Ireland famed for its friendly atmosphere and hosptiality.

Avoca Village
Location for the popular TV series Ballykissangel and also home to the Avoca Handweavers the oldest surviving working mill in Ireland today. Established in 1723.

Golf
Within 25mins drive to some of the best Park Land and Links golf courses in Ireland: Druids Glenn, European Club, Woodenbridge to name but a few.

Wicklow aka "The Garden Of Ireland" named due to its beautiful green unspoilt landscape is simply a must see for anybody planning a visit to Ireland.

Laragh 1.5km away is a small village with a handfull of shops, hotel with pub and restaurants with the well known and documented tea rooms on the village green. No visit to Wicklow is ever complete without a stop off in one of the tea rooms in Laragh.

There are a number of good restaurants nearby but we do also provide the option of an evening meal the details of which can be discussed on arrival.

Walking
We are in very close proximity to the Wickolow way that has many popular walking routes where spectacular views are very much the norm.
