A Victorian cast iron fireplace has been installed beside the preserved, original wall-inset cupboard . Lighting fixtures in the cottage have been chosen to give an elegant 19thc, country home look. . Their positioning has been selected not to merely light the rooms well but also to compliment the residents!

Again, traditional-style tongue and groove wainstcoating . make this another welcoming room

Coir-sisal flooring, resembling traditional rush matting, upon which can be laid an oriental rug for aethetics, enhances the calming colour scheme.

Original door hardware such as hinges, locks, handles and so on . have been preserved and cleaned or painted.. New hardware . has been selected that is both appropriate and sympathetic to . the existing originals.

Windows with lovely molding are also provided with curtain rods.

The view to the front and sides is of pastures and the cottage herb and barbecue area of the courtyard and beyond to the hedged garden.
