PARISH OFFICE
Bree Parish Office was established in May 1993. The office is situated on the grounds of Bree National School and provides a wide range of services to the communities of Bree, Galbally and Ballyhogue.
The services provided by the Office currently include: - production of the weekly Parish Newsletter, printing, photocopying and laminating service, production of Curriculum Vitae and Wedding Booklets, printing of various items for local clubs and organisations, information on career options and information on local businesses and enterprises.
The Office also offers a Family Ancestry Tracing Service. We have recently put all parish records of baptisms, marriages and confirmations onto computer. These records date back to 1837. We have also produced a Memorial to the Dead Booklet, which maps and records the location and inscription of headstones in Bree Old and New Cemeteries, Clonmore (RC) and Ballybrennan Graveyards.
A number of displays relating to parish History, Parish Clubs and Organisations, Resource Materials for the Elderly, Local Businesses etc. are on display in the office.
The Office is also the administrative centre for the Bree Community Employment Project, which currently employs 16 people and takes in the areas of Bree, Galbally, Ballyhogue and Glynn.
