Bree Church Notices

CONFESSIONS   -  Confession on Saturday next at 2.30 p.m. and 6.30 p.m.

MASS – Mass on Monday morning next at 11 a.m.

EUCHARISTIC ADORATION – There will be no Eucharistic Adoration on Monday next.

FIRST FRIDAY – Friday will be the First Friday.  Mass on Friday evening at 7 p.m.

THE HIGH KINGS

‘The High Kings’ make a return visit to the Riverside Park Hotel on Thursday, 5th May. Doors open at 7.30pm. Tickets @€30 are available at the parish office and at the Hotel Reception. Proceeds are in aid of Phase 3 Refurbishment of Bree Community Centre. Your support would be appreciated.

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION – There will be a Church Gate Collection in Aid of St. Patrick’s Special School, Enniscorthy on May 7th and 8th.  All support for this worthy cause would be greatly appreciated.

CAR BOOT SALE

A car boot sale, in aid of Wons Orphanage, Lusaka on Sunday May 1st at Enniscorthy dog track Ross road from 8am - 2pm cars €15 cars and trailer €20 vans €20 admission €1 for adults walking children are free raffle and refreshments on the day for further information please contact Josephine on 087/9175159

BREE YOUTH CLUB NEWS

Bree had four acts in the Juniors Got Talent Show which was held in Marshalstown on Friday 15th April.  Well done to Shane Roche and Killian Power who performed “The White Stripes” by Seven Nation Army on electric guitars.  Well done to Olivia Howe, Roisin Tracey and Sarah Phelan who gave a great rendition of “Help” by the Beatles complete with dance moves!  Olivia also sang solo, “I’m on My Way” by Phil Collins from the Disney movie Brother Bear.  And well done also to Nicole Furlong who performed a creative dance to Chris Brown’s “Yeah X3”.  All participants enjoyed taking part and their leaders are really proud of each of them!!  The next club night is on Friday May 6th when details of the summer trips will be available.

HANDBALL NEWS

Congratulations to Ben O' Shea (Ballyhogue) who defeated club mate Rowan White in the recent u14 Singles County Championship. Also congratulations to Enda Minogue and Anthony Butler (Ballyhogue) who won the U12 County Doubles title recently. Hard luck to Cian Wickham and Colm Parnell (Ballyhogue) who lost out in the final of the U11 County Doubles  Championship.

ATHLETICS NEWS

Athletic Training continues for all athletes aged U5 upwards in Ballyhogue GAA Club grounds every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6.30pm – 7.30pm.  €2 per training session to a max of €5 per family. Training for Bree AC members continues until 8pm. New members are always welcome. The Co Athletic Championships take place on May 1st in the DMP Grounds, Sinnottstown Lane and on the 8th May in Bree beginning at 11am each day. (Only affiliated members can take part). Best wishes to all involved. Peter Byrne, Curraghnaboola was the recent winner of the €2 draw. The next draw will take place on the 6th May. Your support would be appreciated.

AUCTION

Thanks to all those who supported the recent Aucton and various stalls in any way in aid of the Hall Refurbishment Fund. Winners of the draw were: Hamper Noeleen Long, Ballyhogue,  Whiskey Andy Whelan, Donanore, CD Player Josephine O’Reilly, Borrmount, Chocolates Andy Whelan, Donanore.
