Sacred Heart Calendars 2014  Sacred Heart Calendars for 2014 are now available from Eddie Dunne costing €2.50 each. 

Rosary—The Rosary will be recited in Bree Church on Saturday evening next, December 7th at 6.45 p.m. – before Mass.  All are most welcome.

PENNY BANK PAYMENTS  Penny Bank Cheques can be collected in the Meeting Room, Bree Community Centre on this  Mon December 2nd between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. 

Bree Untd Christmas Bazaar—Bree Utd are holding a Christmas Bazaar on Sun 15th of Dec in Bree Hall.  Any stallholders or anyone interested in putting in a stall for that day are more than welcome, for further information , please contact Catherine Jordan on 086 8587937.  Special guest on the day is Santa and a few of his Elves. There will be competitions for the kids, best Chocolate Christmas Log, decorate Christmas Tree Cookies, stalls with something for everyone and of course refreshments.  Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Bree Parents Assoc—Bree Parents Assoc will hold a Bag Pack in Dunnes Stores, Enniscorthy on Sat 21st December.  Anyone who has an hr or two to spare, please contact us at  breeparentsassociation@gmail.com.   We will be putting up a Christmas tree in the new school this year.  Donations of old or unused decorations would be appreciated and can be dropped into the School by the 6th of Dec.

School Caretaker Required—St. Joseph’s NS require a caretaker for 6 hrs per week.  Person must be flexible with hours.  Duties include gardening and general maintenance.  Apply in writing and include a CV to address below: Rev Chairperson Board of Management, St. Josephs National School, Bree, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford.  Clearly mark envelop ‘Caretaker Position’.  CV’s to arrive before 6th of December.

Bree Youth Club News—Bree Youth Club's AGM will be held on Thurs 5th Dec in Bree Community Centre at 8pm.  We had a very successful event on Fri Nov 8th when Sacre Couer Boxing Club visited.  90 members took part in a rigorous workout that included fitness exercises, skipping, footwork techniques and sparring.  Thank you to Sacre Couer Boxing Club and to our club leader Nicholas Delahunty for organising the night.  On Fri 15th Nov our U15 Boys Soccer Team and U15 Girls Soccer Team took part in the Indoor Soccer Competition in Enniscorthy.   Players on the boys team were Paul Sinnott, Peter Kelly, Chris Byrne, Shane Roche, Cian Wickham, Colm Parnell, Ryan Cahill and Darragh Walsh. The girls team consisted of Megan Butler, Carrie Power, Abbie Kennedy,  Aoife Codd, Sinead Kinsella, Leane Miller and Amy Miller.  Well done to all.  The next senior disco is on Fri 13th Dec in Taghmon.  Those who have signed up to attend should meet in Bree at 8.15pm.  The bus should be back in Bree by midnight approx.  On the same night the junior members will have their Inter Club Party which is being held in Bree from 8pm until 10pm.   Junior members can sign up to attend on Friday club nights.

Bree Active Retirement Association Bree ARA held their Christmas lunch at Kelly's Resort Hotel. A delicious meal was enjoyed by all.  Winners of the raffle were Christmas Hamper, Polly Maher c/o Billy Wilson, Bottle Brandy, Billy Cosgrove, Hill View, Bottle Whiskey, Teresa Dixon Donanore, Chocolates, Emer Doyle, Carrig,  Biscuits, Aisling Murphy Adamstown.  Thanks to all who bought tickets and donated prizes. Our next social will be on Dec 18th in Bree with Indoor Bowls continuing on Wed 4th and Wed 11th Dec.

Bree AC Awards—The Annual Bree Athletic Club’s Awards Evening was held in Bree Community Centre on Sat, 23rd Nov. Club Chairman, Pat O’Leary welcomed everyone to the club’s annual social evening. He thanked all coaches, officials and parents for their great support to athletics in Bree during the past year. He congratulated the athletes on another very successful year in the history of the club and wished everyone well in the year ahead. The Club Athlete of the Year Award was presented to Niamh Cloke Rochford by Club President, Fr Frank Murphy PP, Peter Byrne presented his Merit Award to Sophie McCabe, Pat O’Leary presented his Distance Award to Brandon Sinnott, Pat O'Leary presented the Paul Kehoe Merit Award to Catherina Corcoran, Willie Greene presented the Tony Merit Award to Ryan Murray, John Godkin presented his U13 Award to John Kehoe and Margaret Doyle presented the Bree ICA Parish Award to Aoife Cloke Rochford. Three Special Merit Awards were present by Pat O'Leary to Chloe Whelan and Nicole Furlong in recognition of their National Relay win with team mates Aoife C Rochford and Sophie McCabe and to Aoife Fanning in recognition of her National Ladies League Team win with other Bree members Catherina Corcoran and Niamh C Rochford and other members.  Well done to all involved.

Bree/Davidstown Community Games The Annual National Community Games Awards were held in the City Hotel, Derry on Sat last 23rd Nov.  Bree/Davidstown received an award as best area in the county.  Area Officers, Jim & Clare Doyle were present to accept the award on behalf of all in Bree/Davidstown CG. Well done to all involved in the local area.

Ballyhogue Ladies Football—A continuation of the AGM will take place, on Fri Dec 6th at 8pm in Bree Hall, to finalise the election of officers.  As many Junior players and parents of all under age players are requested to attend.

Ballyhogue Gaa Lotto There was no winner of Wed night’s jackpot of €5200. The winning numbers were 8, 12, 23 and 25. Match 3 winners were John Dunne & Bridget McCormack. The next draw will take place in Ryan's of Galbally on 4th December at 8.30pm. Your continued support of the Lotto is very much appreciated.
