BREE PARISH JOURNAL
Preparations are under way for
this years edition of Bree Parish Journal. All clubs and organisations in the parish
are asked to have a report of their activities over the past two years ready by the end of
Sept. The committee is also looking for photographs particularly of groups of people from
times past as well as items suitable for publication pertaining to places or people of the
area including notable family celebrations. All items to be advised to Jim and Clare

Enniscorthy
Active Retirement will host a Fundraising Fashion Show on Wed evening, Oct 7th
commencing at 8 p.m. in the Riverside Park Hotel. Proceeds
raised are in aid of the Alzheimer Unit at St. Johns Hospital. Fashions on show will be from Glamour, London
Milan and Alexon at Shaws. Tickets costing
10 each are available from the Riverside, participating boutiques and Enniscorthy
Active Retirement Committee members. All

meetings resumed on Friday, September 11th in Bree Community Centre from 10.30
a.m. All Dads, Mums, Grandparents and Minders

Bree
Community Childcare Facility intends to open for business in Spring 2010. The facility will provide all day childcare for
the following groups Babies 4 mths+, Toddlers, Pre-School, After School. Anyone wishing to register an interest is asked to
please contact Nicola Payne at 086 2392801 for further information. Please note existing classes and waiting
list will transfer to the new facility when it becomes operational and parents of existing
pupils need not re-apply. If you have any
questions please contact any of the Childcare Committee.
EDERMINE FERRY ROWING CLUB AGM
Edermine Ferry Rowing Club AGM
will now take place on Thursday October 22nd at 8pm with all motions,
proposals and letters for inclusion or discussion at the AGM to be sent in by October 8th. IRISH DANCING CLASSES
Wexford Academy of Irish
Dancing have resumed Irish Dance Classes in Bree Hall.

Regionals are due immediately. The Solos are on Sunday Nov 22nd and the
Championships are on December 5th and 6th, all in Greystones. JORDAN SCHOOL OF MUSIC
Jordan
School of Music will commence classes in Galbally Hall on Monday October 12th
next. This three teacher school will cater
for beginners and advanced pupils in Tin Whistle, Flute, Accordion, Keyboard, Fiddle,
Banjo and Mandolin. All are most welcome. Registration will take place at 6 p.m. on October
12th in Galbally Hall with classes commencing at 6.30 p.m. For further information contact James at 086
8486989 after 6 p.m. FETAC LEVEL 5 OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID
We
are currently compiling a list of names of people interested in taking the Fetac Level 5
Occupational First Aid Course. We would hope
to run the course over a number of nights in the Community Centre subject to interest. This course is certified by Fetac and the Irish
Red Cross and is valid for two years. It also
includes training in the use of the defibrillator. Anyone

SHOW
A
new Dance Talent Show called 'An Jig Gig' is about to begin on TG4 television. The show
will run over the next few months and began on Sunday last at 8.30pm. Twelve members of
local group, Celtic Roots are involved in one of the qualifying rounds. Check out on how
these Celtic Roots dancers perform and if their performance is good enough to see them
through to the quarterfinals, which take place in early December. BREE ICA GUILD REPORT
The
next committee meeting will be on October 13th and the next guild meeting will
be on October 20th. New members
are most welcome to come along. Ladies are
reminded to bring along toiletries for the Womens Refuge in Wexford. BALLYHOGUE LADIES FOOTBALLAfter a long season
stretching back to March, Ballyhogue Ladies Under 16's reached the Division 1 Semi
Final last Thursday night when they were defeated by Shelmelier after a hard fought game
under lights in Bree. Thanks to the girls for your commitment this year as we
take a winter break from competitive games. HOUSE TO LET

Bree
AC training for 12s and over has resumed after a short break on Monday and Wednesday
evenings at 6.30pm. Indoor training resumes in Galbally Hall on Friday, 9th
Oct. Cost per session is 2 to a max of 5 per family. Please check with Una re
Training sessions if athlete is not attending on a regular basis. The Co Cross Country
Championships takes place on 11th of October in Adamstown & 18th of October
in Tagoat with the Leinster Championships Part 1 taking part in Adamstown on 25th
Oct. The Annual Club Presentation Evening takes place in Leisuremax on Thursday 29th
Oct at 7pm. Booking before 9th Oct is essential. Contact Una or Clare for full
details. CHRISTMAS SHOW
There will be no Childrens
Christmas Show this year due to present refurbishment work in the Community Centre. Hope

U16 football team who lost out to Geraldine O Hanrahans in the County Final last week. A

Bree Davidstown AGM, postponed
from Tuesday last, will now go ahead on this Tuesday evening, 6th Oct at 8.30pm
