Preparations are under way for this years edition
of Bree Parish Journal. All clubs and organisations in the parish are asked to have a
report of their activities over the past two years ready by the end of Sept. The committee
is also looking for photographs particularly of groups of people from times past as well
as items suitable for publication pertaining to places or people of the area including
notable family celebrations. All items to be advised to Jim and Clare Doyle,

Bree Davidstown Community Games Chess and Draughts
Lessons have resumed on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm in Bree Hall. All children from 8 years
to 16 years are welcome.
The Pioneer Sacred Heart Calendar for 2012 is available
from Eddie Dunne. To celebrate the
Eucharistic Congress coming to Ireland in 2012, the calendar reproduces a photograph each
month of the 1932 Eucharistic Congress. This
was the last time it was held in Ireland.

Bree AC is
hosting a Children's Disco in Bree Community Centre on Saturday next, 12th November from
7.30pm to 9.30pm. Admission is 3. All children from 5 to 14 years are
welcome. The Annual Awards for Bree AC athletes will be presented following the
disco at 9.30pm. For further details contact Clare on 087-4151350.

There will be a meeting of Bree Tidy Towns Committee on
Tuesday evening, November 15th at 8 p.m. in Bree Hall. On the agenda for the meeting will be the
possibility of a Community Garden. Well done
also to all involved in the group on winning a third place award at the recent Wexford
County Council Environmental Awards in the Ferrycarrig Hotel.

The organisers of the recent fundraising table quiz in
aid of St. Johns Church, Clonmore and also the members of St. Johns
congregation would like to thank all who supported their recent table quiz and thank you
to all who helped in any way with the preparations for and the running of the event.

The Junior 'Spooky Story" party took place last Fri
and was enjoyed by many spooks, ghouls and witches, with many spine tingling tales
told. Many thanks to our younger leaders and Gaisce volunteers who helped make a great
evening. 39 Seniors attended the Halloween disco in Taghmon. Fun was had by all.

There will be a meeting of Bree Community Development
Group on Monday evening next, November 7th at 8.30 p.m. in Bree Hall.
November Social Afternoon
The November Social Afternoon will take place on
Wednesday November 16th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Bree Hall. All are most welcome.
Indoor Bowls
Bree Active Retirement Group will host Indoor Bowls in
Bree Community Centre every Wednesday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. commencing
Wednesday. All are most welcome to join in.
Christmas Lunch
This year the group will travel to the Stanville Hotel
for their Christmas Lunch on December 14th.
The cost is 20 per head and all are most welcome. Full details will be given in future editions of
the Newsletter or by contacting the Active Retirement Group at 089 4616413.

Wexford Youths
Womens AFC will play Castlebar Celtic on Sunday November 13th with the
kick off at 2 p.m. in Ferrycarrig Park. Please
come along and support the Wexford Women in their first match in the Bus Eireann National
Womens League. All support would be
greatly appreciated.

Club AGM
The AGM of
Ballyhogue G.A.A. club will be held on Friday 25th November at 8.00 in the meeting
room of Bree Hall. All club members are invited to attend to have their say on the
direction of the club for the coming year. Club officers and managements for adult and
under-age teams will be elected at the AGM so it is important that as many members as
possible are in attendance on the night. We look forward to seeing you there.
Club Lotto
The Ballyhogue
G.A.A. club Lotto will be 7,600 for the next draw which takes place on 16th November
in Ryans of Galbally. There were three Match 3 winners in the most recent draw, Bridget
Carbery, Tom Kirwan and Matthew Murphy. Thanks to all sellers and to all those who buy a
ticket every fortnight.
