Bree Active Retirement News The next social afternoon of Bree Active Retirement Association
takes place on Wednesday 19th March in Bree Community Centre. New members are always welcome. Bowling takes
place every other Wednesday from 2.00p.m until 4.00pm.

Michael Byrne. The next draw for a Jackpot of 6800 will take place in Ryans
of Galbally at 8.00pm on the 12th of March. Tickets are available from

Bree Community Development AGM The AGM of Bree
Community Development Group will take place on Monday March 24th at 8.30 p.m. in Bree
Community Centre. All are most welcome to
attend.

Utd Dinner Dance Bree United's Annual Dinner
Dance will take place on the 9th of May this year, in the Stanville Lodge Hotel. Tickets will cost 25, which includes, dinner,
bar extension and the fabulous Wicker House band. It
promises to be a fantastic evening so book your tickets early. On another note, the u12 boys team are
holding a couple of fundraising events to help towards their trip to Sheffield. The first
is on Saturday the 15th of March in Ryan's pub in Galbally, entrance is 5 with music
by "Down and Out. Cabaret starts at
9pm and all support would be greatly appreciated. The
second is on St. Patricks Day in Macmine, the u12's will be playing a soccer match
against their parents. All sport most
welcome for what promises to be a very entertaining match.

Handball News County
Finals - Well done to Liam Rossiter, Anthony Butler and Colm Parnell who contested the
U16, U15 & U14 County Finals recently. Unfortunately they were
unsuccessful but did their club proud. Development Squad - Congratulations
are due to Liam, Anthony & Colm who were chosen for the County Handball Development
Squad. They are being coached by the famous Ducksy Walsh. Leinster Team - Liam, Anthony & Colm have
represented their Club and County in last weeks Leinster Chships. Liam
played tough opposition from Dublin and lost by a narrow margin. Anthony & Colm will play U15 & U14 Leinster
Finals this weekend in Tinryland and Leixlip respectively. We wish them the
very best of luck. One Wall - Well done to
Peter Hughes who won the Convention Cup One-Wall Competition recently for Wexford. Glen Fuels - Galen
Riordan narrowly missed out on the Glen Fuels Handballer of the Year. He was
nominated along with Gavin Buggy and Tommy Hynes. |
