AC will hold a Table Quiz in Byrnes Lounge, Bree on this Thurs, April 17th
at 9pm.
Bree Active RetirementThe next Social Afternoon of Bree Active Retirement takes place
on Wed 16th April in Bree Hall. Our Bowling
team travels to Waterford to compete soon and we wish them every success. New members are always welcome.

ClassesSummer is coming and its
time to get beach fit! ZUMBA classes every Wed in Galbally Hall at 7.30pm. Beginners

Youth Club NewsBree YC is looking for
volunteers for the coming seasons and would like to get as many people as possible trained
by the end of summer. Also we would like to
remind everyone that there will be no youth club on Good Friday.
Bree Utd Dinner DanceBree United Dinner Dance tickets still on sale, anyone interested
please contact Catherine Jordan or any of the soccer managers. The club would like to congratulate two of our
underage players who both qualified for the Wexford county squads, Niamh Sinnott in the
u16 squad and Suzi Byrne in the u14 squad. Best of luck girls a great achievement by
both girls.
Blue Lace CD LaunchLeslie & John Dunne 'Blue Lace' launch there new CD 'How much
Time' in the Danby Lodge Hotel on the Rosslare Rd on Wed April 23rd. Special guests on the night Dessie Hynes &
Frankie Scorr and Jimmy Hogan. Compere is SE Radio presenter Tony Kehoe. Dancing from
9.30pm till 12am! Cover charge 7.
Ladies
Football Ballyhogue ladies football club are underway this season with all teams
having played at least one match. Well done to all concerned and if anyone still wants to
join or give it a try just contact any of the managers.

Davidstown Community Games Bree Davidstown Community area athletic finals take
place in Bree on Thursday 22nd May. The county finals take place in Bree on the 14th June.

AC News Outdoor training has resumed on Mon and Thurs in Ballyhogue GAA grounds
from 7 to 8pm for the U5-8 year olds in the top field (Children must be attending primary
school or due to start in Sept '14) and in the middle field for all Bree AC affiliated
athletes. Bree AC affiliation fees are now due as the first part of the county
championships takes place in New Ross on Sun 4th May.
Bree National School Shine at Leinster School Gala Bree National School was represented at
the recent Leinster Schools Swimming Confined Championships 2014 by four students from 2nd
Class. Abi Cullen, Claire Whelan, Jenna Kirwan and Rachel Murphy all travelled to Trinity
Sports and Leisure Complex in Donaghmede on Saturday last. The girls put in a tremendous
effort on the day with three podium finishes taking home a gold, silver and bronze in
their respective swims for their school. 8 yr old Abi Cullen took a Gold medal in the
girls 7-9 yrs 25 m Butterfly which she swam in 29.06s. Claire Whelan also aged 8 was hot
on her classmates heels when she claimed the Bronze medal in the girls 7-9 Butterfly
finishing in a time of 31.84s. Jenna Kirwan, aged 7 yrs, swam the girls 7-9 25m Freestyle
in a time of 28.37s which gave her second place on the podium and a Silver medal for her
school. Rachel Murphy gave a strong performance in her events also. Congratulations to all
the girls on their excellent performance and achievements. |
