Applications are now being taken for the proposed 2011/12
Bree Community Employment Project which is proposed to commence in October 2011. The project covers Bree, Galbally, Ballyhogue and
Glynn areas (Church of Irl, Clonmore, Bree Village Tidy Towns, Bree Church and Cemeteries,
Bree Community Centre, Bree Community Playschool, Bree Active Retirement Group, Ballyhogue
GAA Club, Bree Utd. Soccer Club, Galbally Church, Village and Community Centre, Ballyhogue
Church and Village, Glynn Church, Village and Community Centre and Whitechurch Cemetery). Successful applicants must fulfil FAS qualifying
criteria and applicants will be shortlisted for interview. Garda
clearance and vetting procedures will also be required.

Lotto News
There was no winner
of the most recent Ballyhogue G.A.A. Lotto which took place in Byrnes of Bree. The numbers
drawn were 4,15,24 and 25. Josephine Dunne was a match 3 winner. The next draw is in
Byrnes on August 24th.
U16 Win
The U-16s held out
for a deserved win over Kilrush on Monday evening. Having led throughout they made it
through by one point on a scoreline of 2-14 to 6-1!
Reunion
The date for the
upcoming reunion for players has been changed to Saturday Oct. 22nd at 8 p.m.
in the Ferrycarrig Hotel. This should be a great night for all honouring the players of
the 1961, 1971 and 1986 teams. Tickets
costing 20 each are available from Nicholas Doyle, Liam Leacy or any other committee
member.
Club Gear Order
An order for Club
hoodies, jackets, gear bags etc. is now being put together.

Registration night for girls U10 to U16 will take place
on Monday Aug 15th at 7pm in meeting room Bree Hall. Registration fee is 20.
If its your first year to register please bring along birth cert. Womens team
registration will take place on the same night. Registration
fee for womens team is 50. We look forward to seeing you all on the night.

An evening of great music in aid of the people of Somalia
in the riverside park hotel Enniscorthy on Sunday August 14th with doors open
at 3.30pm and first performance at 4.15pm. Tickets on sale at the Riverside Park Hotel,
Michael Whites Market Sq and Whites for Music Rafter St, Eniscorthy. Tickets cost 10 each. All moneys raised will go to Oxfam who have
promised all will go direct to Somalia. Your
support is greatly needed. Performers for the
evening are The Thingamajigs, The New Davitt Showband, Draiocht, Reilly's Men, Nero, Run
for Cover, Daniel Furlong, Thunderstruck, Billy Edwards, Something Blue, and Blue Lace

The
Comhaltas Seisiún
Sessions, in association with Celtic Roots, is in Bree Community Centre continues every
Tuesday night at 8.30pm for the month of August. Each Session begins with the serving of
scones and tea / coffee followed by a full programme of Music, Song, Dance and
Storytelling. Cost is 10 for adults with concessions for large groups and children.

Bree Active Retirement Outing on Wednesday August 17th
to Rathwood Gardens and also the Chocolate Garden of Ireland, Tullow, Co. Carlow. The Bus will leave the Community Centre at 9.45
a.m. on Wednesday morning and return at 7 p.m. The
outing costs 30 per person including lunch. For

The group also plan an away trip to Bettystown, Co. Meath from September 5th

open air musical evening featuring the Three Irish Tenors with special guests the Wexford
Male Voice Choir on Saturday, September 10th 2011 at Our Ladys Island. Gates open at 7 p.m. with the show beginning at 8
