TROCAIRE LENTEN CAMPAIGN – In this Sunday’s gospel we meet an angry Jesus.   Sometimes it can be good to pause with the following questions; what today in our world would make our God of love and compassion angry?  Columbia is perhaps just one place on our planet where there is a tremendous amount of unnecessary suffering and hardship.  It is one of the world’s worst humanitarian “hotspots”.  More than four decades of conflict have forced about three million people from their homes in the countryside and left thousands more dead or injured.  Perhaps the pain of the people living here causes God to feel angry.  In response to this suffering, Trocaire is committed to improving life for those caught up in the crossfire, by supplying basic emergency assistance such as food, water and shelter.   Trocaire is also helping communities to campaign for their human rights and for peace and is helping them back on their feet with small agricultural and animal projects.  Please support Trocaire’s Lenten campaign this year and help continue this lifeline to the people of Columbia and around the world. For more information log onto www.trocaire.org    Trocaire boxes are available from the back of the Church.
