home. On Tuesday next May 17th to

Haven is an international development agency which is
building homes for the people of Haiti. Volunteers
will build homes alongside the Haitian community, stay in basic tent accommodation and see
first hand the realities of life for millions of Haitian people. Both John and Margaret Doyle of Templescoby,
Enniscorthy, travelled to Haiti in April along with 370 other volunteers. In one week we completed 80 houses, a full size
soccer pitch, a play ground, a nursery and a community centre which will be used for lots
of different projects e.g. school, sanitation programmes.
John and Margaret are heading back out in October for another Build It
Week. The poverty is so bad out there
one can only imagine the conditions that the people are living in. In order to go back out we are undertaking a
series of fundraising activities to raise money for the much needed work out there. We are holding a church gate collection on
Saturday and Sunday May 21st and 22nd and a Barbecue at our home on
June 25th starting at 8 p.m. Both events were a great success last year and
without the support and generosity of you the people this project would not be able to
continue. We both thank you from our hearts
and will continue to work hard in Haiti on Build It Week. For more information on the work Haven are doing
out in Haiti and some photos taken on Build It Week look up Haven Partnership. Thankyou again for your kind support.
