Bree Community Notices

Christmas Choir Full choir practice in the church on Tuesday at 7:00 pm.

Carol Service Bree church will host an ecumenical Carol Service on Thursday, Dec 19 at 8:00 pm.   The traditional Service of readings and carols will be led by Archdeacon Chris Long.  The service provides a wonderful opportunity for the entire community of Bree to join together in solidarity to celebrate the Feast of Christmas. Refreshments afterwards in the Community Centre.

Bree Parish Newsletter Bree Parish Newsletter edition for next weekend, December 21/22 will be a double edition in terms of community notices.  Any notices for inclusion should be handed, phoned, e-mailed into Bree CEP Office by 12 noon on Friday morning next, December 20th.  Telephone 053 9247613.  E-mail breecep@eircom.net.  Bree CEP Office closes on Friday next December 20th for the Christmas break.  The office will be open on Friday morning January 3rd for production of the Newsletter for 4/5th January. 

Bree United Christmas Bazaar Bree Utd Christmas Bazaar this Sun in Bree Hall.  Special guest on the day is Santa and a few of his Elves. There will be competitions for the kids, best Chocolate Christmas Log, Christmas Tree Cookie decorations, stalls with something for everyone.

Scoil Seoaimh Naofa  SSN Parents’ Assoc will hold a Bag Pack in Dunnes Stores, Enniscorthy on Sat 21st Dec.  If you can help please contact us at breeparentsassociation@gmail.com.   End of term Mass on Thursday at 10:00 am.  Christmas Concert in the Community Centre on Friday at 10:00 am.

Hope Cancer Support Centre—The Hope Cancer Support Centre will hold their annual Winter Solstice Ceremony of Light and Healing in the National Heritage Park on Sat 21st December at 7.30 pm. 

Carolling—Bree Parish Choir will provide some seasonal entertainment in Market Square, Enniscorthy approx 3:00 pm on Saturday.  If you happen to be in town do drop by and lend your support!

St Vincent de Paul “Thank-You” Enniscorthy SVdP expresses sincere thanks for the 562.18 collected in Bree last weekend.

Latin and Ballroom Fitness Classes This new Latin and Ballroom Fitness Classes will commence in early January in Bree Community Centre on Monday nights from 8.30 p.m. to 9.15 p.m.  Class members will learn dances such as the waltz, chacha, quick step and jive.  Classes cost 8 per night.  For more information contact Niki at 085 1416953.

Bree Active Retirement Association Our next social will be on Dec 18th in Bree Community Centre from 2p.m. to 5 p.m.

Coffee Day—Stephen and Majella Murphy will host a Coffee Day at their home in Wilton, Bree on Sunday December 15th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in aid of Enniscorthy Branch of St. Vincent de Paul and the Wexford Women’s Refuge.  All support would be greatly appreciated. 

Ballyhogue GAA News—The winning lotto numbers were 6. 14. 25. 31.  There was no jackpot winner.  The match 3 winner was Sarah Michael, Sparrowsland. Next draw on the 18th of December in Galbally and will include €500 in extra prizes for Christmas. The next jackpot will be for €5600.   Following the clubs AGM last night the new officers for the coming year are:  Chairman Des Kehoe, Vice Chairman Nicholas Doyle, Secretaries (Joint) PJ Doyle, Thomas Moriarty, Treasurer Liam Curtis, and Ass. Treasurer Eddie Galvin, P.R.O. Cathal Byrne.  Thanks to all who attended.

Bree Youth Club News—Bree Youth Club took part in the Unihoc competition in the CBS last week. Team members were Cian Wickham, Suzi Byrne, Abbie Kennedy, Tara Farrell, Michael Redmond, Sarah Byrne and Mark Delahunty. The team played amazing Unihoc, and got through to the final, which was a nail biting match that went to extra time and finally a penalty shoot out. Our team came home with silver medals and should be so proud of their achievement on the night.  Youth Club is now finished until the 10th of January, so on behalf of all the committee and leaders we want to wish all our members and their families a fantastic Christmas and New Year and look forward to seeing you all in January.

Ballyhogue NS Carol Service—Ballyhogue N.S. are holding their Christmas Carol Service on Tues 17th Dec in Bellevue Church at 7p.m.   All are welcome and you are invited to join us for refreshments in the school afterwards.
