in the Cemetery. A collection will be
taken up on the evening for the upkeep of the Cemetery and Grotto. All support would be gratefully accepted. |

Seisiun with Celtic Roots in association
with Comhaltas and Treacy's Hotel take place every Tuesday night at 8.30pm in the
Bellefield GAA Complex, Enniscorthy for the months of July and August. Admission is 10

Cabarets with Celtic Roots take place in Mernagh's Lounge, Oylegate tonight Saturday 18th
and on Sunday night 26th July

and Bree Davidstown Community Games recent 'Fun Marathon Relay' fundraiser in aid of Bree
Community Centre Refurbishment should be returned to Eddie Dunne, (Bree Shop), Mary
Murphy, Clare Doyle or Una Doyle at athletics training as soon as possible.
The Wexford Creamery 'Fun Sports' concluded
in Bree on Wednesday evening last in wintry weather conditions. However, these conditions
did not deter the under six to nine year old athletes from enjoying themselves with the
Sack Race, Ball Throw, Three Legged Race and Bean Bag Relay. Local winners on the night
were Brandon Sinnott, Laura Butler, Liam Doyle, Alan Doyle and David Hennebry.
Bree AC athletes won four medals at the National Championships in Tullamore last weekend.
Silver medals were won by Paddy Devereux in the U14 Hurdles and by Dylan Walsh in the U16
250m Hurdles. Bronze medals were won by Aoife Fanning in the U13 60m Hurdles and by Tony
Stafford in the U16 100m. Athletes will be in action in Tullamore this weekend for the
National Intercounty Relays and the National Individual Championships. Next weekend it
will be Tullamore again for the National Combined Events and the National 'B'
Championships. Training continues in Ballyhogue GAA pitch on Monday and Wednesdays from
6.30 to 7.30pm for all athletes aged four years and over. Training donation is 2 per
child to max 5 per family.
Bree / Davidstown will be represented in the
National Finals in Athlone in August in Girls Soccer, Variety and Skittles as well as
twenty eight athletes which qualified earlier in the month. The U15 soccer team of Shona
Spratt Murphy, Kate Murphy, Chloe Morrissey, Rachel Condon, Aoife Hegarty, Mary Tyrrell,
Niamh Rochford, Annie Stafford, Ciara McKelvie, Grainne Byrne, Hannah Sullivan, Ciara Howe
and Dervla McCabe with coach Betty Kelly won the Leinster Final 3-2 after extra time
against Wicklow. The Variety Team of Shauna Buckley, Niamh Curran, Cait Doyle, Shannon
Somers, Joanne Wickham, Sadhbh Kirwan, Clodagh Coughlan, Aoife Doyle, Shauna Dunne, Sean
Hogan, Cathal Byrne, Mark McKelvie, Micheal Long and Shane Jordan with Producer Sinead
Fortune finished in third place behind Westmeath and Kildare to qualify and the Skittles
Team of Cormac Byrne, Joseph Byrne, Conor Byrne, Daragh Byrne, Enda Minogue, Shane Doyle
and Niall Jones with David Minogue as manager beat Laois 171 to 38 in the semifinal and
Kildare in the Leinster Final 249 to 128 to retain the Byrne Perpetual Trophy.
"Bree Fair Day" will take place on Monday, August 3rd from 2 to 6 pm with lots
of fun and activities for children including Fancy Dress, Best Dressed Pet, Children's Art
Competition, Fun Sports and more. For enquiries on these activities contact 087 9981973.
Also a Children's Baking Competition - 6 Rice Krispie Buns, 6 Buns, Tart, Brown Bread for
enquiries on this event contact 087 6310951 or 087 3109426. Celtic Roots and the Arklow
Brass Band will provide entertainment and there will also be lots of other attractions
including Craft Stalls, Face Painting, Bouncy Castle, Children's Disco, Skittles,
Barbeque, Wheel of Fortune, Bottle Stall, Face Painting, Tug of War, Go Karts, Brolly
Golf, Produce Staff, Books, Bric 'n Brac, Wet Sponges, Strawberries and Cream and others.
Items for Bottle, Bric 'n Brac, Produce, Cake and Book Stalls can be left with any Hall
Committee or Refurbishment Committee Member.
Bree
Tennis Club are holding a fun day on Tuesday 21st July from 3.00 5.00 pm. the last
fun day was a great success and we would love to have even more children this week. Members 1 and 2 for non members.
The Parish Office will be open
on Monday and Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Wednesday and Friday mornings from 9
