TrocaireAs the Lenten Trocaire campaign is now over, you are kindly requested to return your Trocaire boxes to the church at your earliest convenience during the forthcoming weekend masses.

Youth Club News - Bree Youth Club will resume after Easter on Friday the 25th, hope everyone has a fantastic Easter. On Friday the 11th the junior members handed over a cheque for €400 to the Hope foundation, after their great efforts carol singing at Xmas. The last senior disco is coming up shortly and anyone wishing to go should have their names and payment made in the next 2 weeks.

Bree Parents Association - Bree Parents Association would like to thank everyone who supported our recent used clothing collection. €393 was collected for our school.  There will be another collection in June, so keep filling those bags!! Another date for your diary; Our annual fun day will take place on Sunday June 8th.  Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Easter.

Zumba Classes—Summer is coming and it’s time to get beach fit! ZUMBA classes every Wed in Galbally Hall at 7.30pm. Beginners arrive early and don’t forget water! Call Jane on 087-4118509.

Bree Utd Dinner Dance—Bree United Dinner Dance tickets still on sale, anyone interested please contact Catherine Jordan or any of the soccer managers. 

Blue Lace CD Launch—Leslie & John Dunne 'Blue Lace' launch there new CD 'How much Time' in the Danby Lodge Hotel on the Rosslare Rd on Wed April 23rd.  Special guests on the night Dessie Hynes & Frankie Scorr and Jimmy Hogan. Compere is SE Radio presenter Tony Kehoe. Dancing from 9.30pm till 12am! Cover charge €7.

Bree AC News  Outdoor training has resumed on Mon and Thurs from 7 to 7.45pm for the U5-8 year olds are in the hall for this week and in the top field beginning on Monday 28th April (Children must be attending primary school or due to start in Sept ’14). Bree AC affiliated athletes train in the middle field. Bree AC affiliation fees are now due as the first part of the county championships takes place in New Ross on Sunday 4th May.

Bree Davidstown Community Games News - Well done to the Bree Davidstown Quiz team who won gold in the county final last week.   Team -  Mary Byrne, Sarah Byrne, Rebecca Twomey, Emily Jordan and subs Aoibhe Lewis and Leanne Miller.  Well done also to the nine swimmers, which between them won 21 county medals at the county swimming finals last week. Gold medal winners were Holly Furlong (U10 Freestyle), Sarah Byrne (U14 Backstroke) and the U13 Medley Relay of Abi Cullen, Holly Furlong, Roisin Kennedy, Claire Whelan, Leah Nolan and Ava Whelan. Silver medal winners were Leah Nolan (U10 Freestyle), Abi Cullen (U10 Backstroke), Roisin Kennedy (U12 Freestyle), Lily Mahon (U14 Backstroke), Jessica Roche (U16 Backstroke) and U16 Medley Relay of Sarah Byrne, Mary Byrne, Jessica Roche, Lily Mahon, Abi Cullen and Holly Furlong. Bronze medal winners were Ava Whelan (U8 Freestyle) and Claire Whelan (U10 Backstroke). Also taking part was Barry Nolan (U16 Butterfly). Well done and thank you to Tracy Cullen, area and county coordinator. Bree Davidstown Community area athletic finals take place in Bree on Thurs 22nd May. The county finals take place in Bree on the 14th June.
