BREE PARISH JOURNAL

Preparations are under way for this year’s edition of Bree Parish Journal. All clubs and organisations in the parish are asked to have a report of their activities over the past two years. The committee is also looking for photographs particularly of groups of people from times past as well as items suitable for publication pertaining to places or people of the area including notable family celebrations. TODDLE WADDLE

Bree Parent and Toddler Group is holding a Toddle Waddle in aid of the Irish Meningitis Trust on Friday November 25th from 10.30am to 12.00pm in the Community Centre. All parents/minders/grandparents and children are very welcome to come along and join in the fun. We look forward to seeing you there! The Annual Christmas Craft fair takes place in Bree Hall on Sunday, 4th December.   Full details in future editions of the Newsletter.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT NEWS

Indoor Bowls

Bree Active Retirement Group will host Indoor Bowls in Bree Community Centre every Wednesday afternoon from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. commencing Wednesday.  All are most welcome to join in.

Christmas Lunch

This year the group will travel to the Stanville Hotel for their Christmas Lunch on December 14th.   The cost is €20 per head and all are most welcome.  Full details will be given in future editions of the Newsletter or by contacting the Active Retirement Group at 089 4616413.

Bree AC AGM takes place on Tuesday 13th December at 8pm. All athletes' parents are welcome to attend.

BREE HERITAGE PROJECT MEETING

"The first public meeting of the Bree Heritage Project will take place at 8.15 pm on Monday the 28th of November in the Bree Community Centre. Everyone is welcome to attend. Contact Colm Moriarty for more information (086 8747220)"

BREE UNITED CABARET

Bree United Soccer Club will hold a Cabaret on Sat 26th November in Byrnes of Bree.  Tickets costing €3 will be available on the door. Music is by “Vinnie”. Door prizes and raffle on the night.  Your support would be greatly appreciated

BREE TIDY TOWNS – NO JUNK MAIL SIGNS

As part of our waste minimisation programme No Junk Mail signs are available from Bree Post Office which you can stick up beside your letter box.  Please note you also need to write to An Post, Belefield, Enniscorthy to request that no junk mail be delivered to your address.

BALLYHOGUE GAA CLUB NEWS

Club AGM

The AGM of Ballyhogue G.A.A. club will be held on Friday 25th November at 8.00 in the meeting room of Bree Hall. All club members are invited to attend to have their say on the direction of the club for the coming year. Club officers and managements for adult and under-age teams will be elected at the AGM so it is important that as many members as possible are in attendance on the night. We look forward to seeing you there.
