Dumping of any kind around the Recycling Units is
prohibited. The recycling units are there to help recycle and
dispose of glass bottles and aluminium cans only. If the
units are full bring back your recycling another day.
Do not leave bags, boxes or other litter around the units as this
causes litter problems throughout the village. Bins
have been provided around the village for litter so please use them. The Village and the surrounding areas are litter free zones so please put your litter
in the bins provided or bring it home. We ask
for your help in keeping the village looking its best.
TIDY TOWNS
JUDGING Tidy Towns Judging takes place from the beginning of May to the
end of August (without any notification) so if the judges have not already been through
the village they will be visiting in the coming weeks.
In the event of a village being shortlisted for an award a second visit is
carried out for additional judging. We would
appeal to all Parishioners to help us in our aims to continue to improve on points
received in the competition over the last few years.
A lot of work has gone into to improving the appearance of the village and
this work continues each week with grass cutting, sweeping, litter picking. All support and help in presenting the village and
the approach roads at their best would be greatly appreciated.
PRAYERS FOR FATHERS DAY SUNDAY JUNE 21ST
God our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all
things. Bless all fathers, that they may be
strengthened as Christian fathers. Let the
example of their faith and love shine forth. Grant
that we, their sons and daughters may honour them always with a spirit of profound
respect.
Grant this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
God, bless all the fathers in the world. Guide them to be good role models and loving to
all their children. Help them to be a father
like you are. Give them grace and patience to
handle situations in a loving way.
Amen.
