Bree Patron Day-Bree
Patron will take place on Sunday August 19th commencing at 1.30 p.m. in Clonmore Cemetery and
moving to Bree New and Old Cemetery.
Developments in Bree
Scoil Seosaimh Naofa -Planning
permission was lodged with Wexford County Council for the proposed development at our
parish school this week. This project, which
will significantly enhance and expand the current school facility, is expected to be
operational for the school year 2013/14. During
the building phase the existing two pre-fab classrooms will continue in use and the
existing CEP/Parish Office pre-fab will also be required for school purposes.The transfer
of the CEP Office to its new location in Bree Community Centre will be completed this week.
Parochial House-Planning
permission has also been lodged for proposed works at the Parochial House. The Parish Finance Committee will enter detailed
consultation with parishioners before seeking Diocesan
approval to advance this project.
Our Ladys
Island Pilgrimage-His
Excellency, Archbishop Charles Brown, Papal Nuncio to Ireland will preach the opening
sermon at this years Pligrimage to Our Ladys Island which will take place on
Wednesday 15th August at 3pm. The Pilgrimage holds a special place in the tradition and
mission of the diocese and indeed the country - and the presence of the Popes
representative to Ireland at this years pilgrimage emphasises its importance and
significance. The opening ceremony is open to all and you are most welcome to come and
share the Eucharist with us on the day. X

Bree
Youth Club News- Congratulations to the U15 Table Quiz team who took 2nd place at
the All Ireland Finals in Limerick on June 30th. The team members were Rachel
Cahill, Sophie Forte, Ciara Howe and Laoise Rodgers. Also
well done to Lucy Doyle who took part in the National Final of Youth Work Ireland's Youth
Factor. She gave a stunning performance of "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera.
Ballyhogue Ladies Football- U
16 Girls were defeated by Castletown this week on a score of 2-3 to 3-4. The Junior ladies won the 3rd round of the
Championship against Rathgarogue/Cushinstown with a score of 5-6 to 4.3. Their next
match is an away match to Bannow/Ballymitty next week. Well done to all concerned.
Clonmore Church
Thankyou-The
Parishioners of Clonmore Church would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to
everyone who supported their recent Bring and Buy Sale in Merton last
Saturday. All proceeds go towards Church
renovations. Again thankyou to all.
Sue Ryder Foundation -The
Sue Ryder Foundation is focussed on delivery of care for the elderly and disabled in Ireland
today. Please support our cause, we accept

Bree Fair Day -The
Annual Bree Fair Day will be held on Sun, 5th Aug. Once again it will feature the usual
stalls along with childrens Fancy Dress Comp, Go Karts, Best Dressed Pet, Best
Produce, Art and Photographic Competitions, Childrens Baking Competitions and Best
Container/window box. Talent Competitions (U13 & U18) and Skittles Tournaments (U16
& Senior) will be the main features on the day. Volunteers to assist with any stall
would be very welcome. Please contact Eddie Dunne. The Annual Householders draw will also
be held in association with Bree Fair Day.
Mens ShedThe
next meeting of the Mens Shed group will take place in Bree Community Centre from 10
a.m. to 12 midday on Friday 3rd August. All
are most welcome.
