EUCHARISTIC ADORATION –Eucharistic Adoration continues on Monday next from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

ENVELOPE COLLECTION — last Sunday amounted to €648.00. Sincere thanks to all who contributed.

ROSARY – the Rosary will be recited on Saturday evening next, October 3^rd at 6.45 p.m. – before Mass in Bree Church.

BREE NEW CEMETERY – As you are aware Bree New Cemetery has taken on a whole new look over the past weeks with the removal of topsoil from the paths between rows of graves and replacing it with stones and gravel. Drainage has been put in with the result under foot conditions have been very much improved. Also the eyesore of old wreaths, oases, plastic containers, plastic bags of old grave stones, and junk of all kinds have been removed which greatly improves the overall appearance of the cemetery. PLEASE DO NOT DUMP OLD WREATHS, OASES OR LITTER OF ANY KIND IN THE CEMETERY. PLEASE KEEP THE CEMETERY LOOKING NEAT AND TIDY. PLEASE, PLEASE NO MORE DUMPING.

FRIENDS OF SEVERELY INTELLECTUALLY DISABLED - The Friends of the Severely Intellectually Disabled will hold a Churchgate Collection on the of weekend of September 26^th and 27^th. All support would be greatly appreciated.

THE REV TENORS & ROISIN DEMPSEY – The Rev Tenors with Roisin Dempsey and guests will perform in Rowe Street Church, Wexford on Friday October 2^nd at 8 p.m. Tickets costing €15 are available from the Church Presbytery. All proceeds in aid of IHCPT helping to send Children with special needs to Lourdes.

BREE PARISH JOURNAL

Preparations are under way for this year’s edition of Bree Parish Journal. All clubs and organisations in the parish are asked to have a report of their activities over the past two years ready by the end of Sept. The committee is also looking for photographs particularly of groups of people from times past as well as items suitable for publication pertaining to places or people of the area including notable family celebrations. ENNISCORTHY ACTIVE RETIREMENT FASHION SHOW

Enniscorthy Active Retirement will host a Fundraising Fashion Show on Wed evening, Oct 7^th commencing at 8 p.m. in the Riverside Park Hotel. Proceeds raised are in aid of the Alzheimer Unit at St. John’s Hospital. Fashions on show will be from Glamour, London Milan and Alexon at Shaws. Tickets costing €10 each are available from the Riverside, participating boutiques and Enniscorthy Active Retirement Committee members. All support would be greatly appreciated.

CHILDRENS ART CLASSES

BREE PARENT AND TODDLER GROUP

Bree Parent and Toddler Group meetings resumed on Friday, September 11^th in Bree Community Centre from 10.30 a.m. All Dads, Mums, Grandparents and Minders are welcome. For further information contact Barbara at 087 2461445.

JORDAN SCHOOL OF MUSIC

Jordan School of Music will commence classes in Galbally Hall on Monday October 12^th next. This three teacher school will cater for beginners and advanced pupils in Tin Whistle, Flute, Accordion, Keyboard, Fiddle, Banjo and Mandolin. All are most welcome. Registration will take place at 6 p.m. on October 12^th in Galbally Hall with classes commencing at 6.30 p.m. For further information contact James at 086 8486989 after 6 p.m.

EDERMINE FERRY ROWING CLUB AGM

Edermine Ferry Rowing Club General Meeting will take place on Thursday September 24^th at 8pm in Bree hall. The Club AGM will now take place on Thursday October 22^nd at 8pm with all motions, proposals and letters for inclusion or discussion at the AGM to be sent in by October 8^th.

IRISH DANCING CLASSES

Wexford Academy of Irish Dancing resumed Irish Dance Classes in Bree Hall on Saturday September 12^th. Classes for new pupils commenced on Saturday September 19^th at 10.30 a.m. For further information contact Kay at 087 9981973, Sinead at 087 7538657 or Catriona at 087 7504818.

TG4 TALENT SHOW

A new Dance Talent Show called 'An Jig Gig' is about to begin on TG4 television. The show will run over the next few months beginning on Sunday next, 27th September at 8.30pm. Twelve members of local group, Celtic Roots are involved in one of the qualifying rounds. Check out on how these Celtic Roots dancers perform and if their performance is good enough to see them through to the quarterfinals, which take place in early December.

BREE AC NEWS

Best wishes to Amy Flanagan, Tony Stafford and Catriona Corcoran in the Schools National Combined Event Championships, which take place in Tullamore this weekend. Bree AC training for 12s and over takes place on Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6.30pm. Indoor training resumes in Galbally Hall on Friday, 9^th Oct. The Co Cross Country Championships takes place on the 11^th & 18th of October with the Leinster Championships Part 1 taking part in Adamstown on the 25^th Oct. The Annual Club Presentation Evening takes place in Leisure Max on Thursday, 29^th Oct at 7pm. Booking before 9^th Oct is essential. Contact Una or Clare for full details.

BREE DAVIDSTOWN COMMUNITY GAMES

Bree/Davidstown Community Games AGM takes place in Bree Community Centre on Tuesday, 28^th September at 8.30pm. All are welcome to attend.

FETAC LEVEL 5 OCCUPATIONAL FIRST AID

We are currently compiling a list of names of people interested in taking the Fetac Level 5 Occupational First Aid Course. We would hope to run the course over a number of nights in the Community Centre subject to interest. This course is certified by Fetac and the Irish Red Cross and is valid for two years. It also includes training in the use of the defibrillator. Anyone interested please contact Elaine at the Parish Office – telephone 053 9247613.

BREE ICA GUILD REPORT

The next committee meeting will be on October 13^th and the next guild meeting will be on October 20^th. New members are most welcome to come along. Ladies are reminded to bring along toiletries for the Womens Refuge in Wexford.

BREE COMMUNITY CHILDCARE FACILITY

Bree Community Childcare Facility intends to open for business in Spring 2010. The facility will provide all day childcare for the following groups – Babies 4 mths+, Toddlers, Pre-School, After School. Anyone wishing to register an interest is asked to please contact Nicola Payne at 086 2392801 for further information. Please note – existing classes and waiting list will transfer to the new facility when it becomes operational and parents of existing pupils need not re-apply. If you have any questions please contact any of the Childcare Committee.

BREE YOUTH CLUB NEWS

Bree Youth Club will meet at the usual times of 7pm - 8pm for Juniors and 8pm - 9pm for seniors on Friday October 2nd. The club is planning for the pre Christmas competitions in 5-aside soccer, dodgeball, chess, draughts, and table quiz. On October 2nd members will be asked to submit their names if they are interested in taking part in any of the events. Halloween discos are scheduled for the seniors on the 23rd October in
Camross and for the juniors on the 30th October in Marshalstown. Names will taken on October 2nd and permission slips will be handed out. The cost for the senior disco will €8 and for the juniors €5. The cost includes admission and bus. The junior disco will be from 8pm until 10pm. Money and permission slips should be returned by

BREE PARISH OFFICE

There are many services available locally to all Parishioners through Bree Parish Office including typing, printing, photocopying, tracing family ancestry, maintenance and updating of Parish Website, local information and history and lots more. It is planned to give the Office a bit of a facelift in coming months and we also hope to be able to expand the services we offer also.
