Bree Harvest Festival – An Outstanding Success!  A big Thank You to the entire parish for your wonderful support of the recent Harvest Festival.  The wide range of events enjoyed a large attendance throughout the weekend and the strong sense of goodwill towards the Festival and the enjoyment of the various activities was clearly evident throughout the whole weekend. It really was a tremendous occasion for the whole area, and shows what can be achieved when the entire community joins together and fully supports an idea.  In addition to being a social success, the Festival was also very much a financial success. The weekend activities raised approximately €10,000 for Bree Community Centre, while the fantastic “Dancers and Chancers” night also raised much needed funds for the various participating organisations from the parish, with an incredible €12,668 in sponsorship raised in this most enjoyable event. The wonderful Flower Festival at Clonmore Church was also very successful, raising just over €4000, while the Hope Centre Enniscorthy benefited through a number of events to the tune of €450.  So well done to all – to the Committee who worked over many months to organise the weekend, to the dozens of volunteers and participants who worked tirelessly to put the Festival together, to the hundreds of people from near and far who so strongly supported the various activities, and to our many generous and enthusiastic sponsors without whose support the Festival would not have been such a success - – Go Raibh Míle Maith Agaibh Go Léir!   Here’s looking forward to next year………………!
