ANNUAL
PIONEER PILGRIMAGE
The
Annual Pioneer Pilgrimage to Our Ladys Island takes place on Sunday 30th
August. Mass will be at 3.00 p.m. Everybody
welcome to attend. SCHOOL BOYS SOCCER REGISTRATION
Registering for
School Boys Soccer for U10, U12, U14, and U16s will take place in Bree Community
Centre on Monday 31st August at 7.30 p.m. If
this is your first time to register please bring a Birth Certificate. The fee for registering is 20 per child and
under 10s must be 9 by 31st December 2009. BREE CEP LTD APPLICATIONS FOR VACANCIES
Applications are now being taken for the proposed Bree
Community Employment Project 2009/10 due to commence in October 2009. Positions available include General Maintenance
Workers, Childcare Workers, Community Visitation Workers, Clerical Workers, Sports Centre
and Community Centre Caretakers. The Project
covers the areas of Bree, Galbally, Ballyhogue and Glynn.
Application forms are available from Bree Parish Office. Important Garda vetting is required to
participate on this programme. You will be
required to complete a Garda vetting form giving permission for information to be obtained
from the Garda Central Vetting Unit. All
successful applicants must comply with FAS eligibility criteria. CAMOGIE TRAINING
Camogie Training for U12s takes place in Ballyhogue GAA
grounds on Tuesday evenings from 6.30 to 7,15pm. All girls in this age group are welcome
to participate. GUITAR CLASSES
Guitar Classes will resume in
Bree Hall on Monday September 7th with classes at 5.30 p.m., 6.30 p.m. and 7.30

Bree
Soccer Club is starting up a new Youths Team this year. The trainer will be Ronan Murphy. New members are welcome. We would appreciate your support at our
fundraising cabaret on 29th August in Byrnes Lounge, Bree. Tickets are on sale for 5. Music by: On the Run. IRISH DANCING CLASSES
Wexford Academy of Irish
Dancing will resume Irish Dance Classes in Bree Hall on Saturday September 12th. Classes for new pupils will commence on Saturday
September 19th at 10.30 a.m. For

DREAMS AND SCHEMES
Ballyhogue
Dreams and Schemes Family Fun Day will take place this Sunday. The day will commence with
a Fun Run from Ballyhogue Stores to Bellevue where there will be a Barbecue, Music,
Childrens Sports and lots of fun. COMMUNITY GAMES NATIONAL FINALS
Well
done to the twenty-eight athletes who represented the parishes of Bree and Davidstown at
last weekends National Community Games Finals in Athlone. For the second weekend in
succession young athletes returned with National silver and bronze medals and fourth place
medallions. The girls U16 Relay team of Kate Murphy, Amy Flanagan, Rebecca OConnor,
Laura Murphy, Ann Marie Kane and Ciara Breen won silver, the Boys U16 Relay team of Tony
Stafford, Dylan Walsh, Brian Windsor, Dale Galway, Walter Furlong and Adam Horan won
bronze medals and the Girls U14 team of Catriona Carroll, Annie Stafford, Niamh C
Rochford, Hannah Sullivan, Ciara Howe and Chloe Morrissey won fourth place medallions.
Catriona Carroll also won the fourth place medallion in the U14 Long Jump. Other athletes
involved were Daire Cloke Rochford (U8 80m), Ava Dempsey (U10 200m), Niamh Cloke Rochford
(U14 SP), Amy Flanagan (U16 100m), Ann Marie Kane (U16 HJ), Elaine McCabe (U16 Marathon),
Dervla McCabe (U16 Marathon), Tony Stafford (U16 100m), Dylan Walsh (U16 HJ) and Adam
Horan (U16 Marathon) and U12 Relay of Dean
Doyle, Enda Minogue, Sean Morrissey, Ryan Murray, Barry Nolan and Nick Doyle. Team
managers for the weekend were Una Doyle, Eithne Doyle, Mary Stafford, Helena Dempsey and
Nicky Dempsey. BREE
YOUTH CLUB
Registration
for 2009/10 will take place on Friday 4th September, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm, in
Bree Community Centre. Children must be aged 10years. All leaders are asked to
attend. Youth Club will resume on Friday 11th September at the usual
times of 7pm until 8pm for Junior members and 8pm until 9pm for Senior members. BREE COMMUNITY DEV. GROUP MEETING
The next meeting of Bree
Community Development Group will take place on Thursday night next September 3rd
at 8.30 p.m. in Bree Hall. All are most

in Bree Hall. COLAISTE ABBAIN SCHOOL RE-OPENING
Colaiste Abbain Vocational
College will re-open after the Summer break this coming week as follows: Wednesday and Thursday, September 2nd
and 3rd incoming 1st years only from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. Friday September 4th 2nd,
3rd, 5th and 6th year students. Monday 7th September all
students return to school. For further

WEXFORD CAMPUS
Carlow IT have announced the
addition of a new course to be run at their Wexford Campus Certificate in Community
Arts Management. As this is a Community
Course a certain amount of subsidy is available from Wexford County Council for eligible
