Bree Parish Journal was first published in 1986. Subsequent editions were published in 1987, 1988 and 1989 and biannually since then.
The Journal attempts to cover all aspects of sporting and cultural life of the Parish of Bree (encompassing the areas of Bree, Galbally and Ballyhogue) over a two year period. It provides articles covering the history of the area and its people as well as remembering folklore and pastimes of times long gone.

The Journal also records the baptisms, deaths and marriages which occur during the time covered as well as listing all the organisations and groups active in the area.

The Journal is published by a voluntary committee coordinated by Peter Byrne, the instigator of the Journal.

 Items pertaining to the area or its people, suitable for publication, are welcome. 

A limited number of some editions of the Journals are available.

BREE PARISH JOURNAL

The 13th edition of Bree Parish Journal was launched in Garry Byrne's by Dan Walsh. This edition contains historical articles as well as reviews of local organisations within the parish for 2006 & 2007. Copies are now on sale in the local shops at €8.
