GAA Club Call - Ard An Ratha

Flotto
There was no winner of our weekly Flotto.
The numbers drawn were 3, 13, 15 and 16 and the nearest were Danielle McHugh, Glengesh and Joseph McBrearty, Castlerea, Bruckless. This weeks jackpot stands at €2700.00 and this weeks Flotto will take place on Sunday night.


Senior/Reserve and U21
Training continues in Pearse Memorial Park on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for Senior/Reserve and U21.


U-10s
The U-10s continue to train on Wednesday evenings. They took part in the N. Ultan Blitz last Saturday with the B Team winning the B Competition and the A Team lost out in the final.


U-14 Girls
The U-14 Girls have qualified for the County finals by beating Glenfin last week.


U-14 Boys
The U-14 Boys return Championship match with St Nauls will now be played in Ardara early this week. Should they win this match they play Dungloe in the Regional semi-final. Last Thursday they lost to Killyebgs in the League on a score of (2-08) to (1-08). They now play Four Masters in a playoff for the Regional Final.


U-16 Boys
The U-16 Boys beat Cloughaneely in the Co. semi-final on the Banks (N. Mhuire) last week. They now qualify for the County final which is due to be played on Saturday 24th August in Ballybofey.


Donegal Senior Ladies
Well done to the Donegal Senior ladies team who won the Ulster Final last week-end. Charlene Kennedy and Mairead Gallagher represented the Club with honour. We wish them all the best of luck in the All-Ireland semi-final.


Golf Classic
The Ardara GAA Club Golf Classic which was due to take place this Saturday 17th August at Nairn/Portnoo Golf Club has now been changed to Saturday 24th August. Prizes are to the value of €4000.00 and a time sheet is in operation. The are approximately 60 teams taking part on the day.


Tickets
Tickets for next week-ends games in Croke Park will again be in high demand. Anyone who booked tickets can collect them in Dohertys (to-night) Thursday night between 9.00 and 10.30 p.m. All tickets booked must be collected on the night.


Club Holiday
Arrangements for the Club Holiday have been finalised. The group will depart for Tenerife on Sunday 20th October from Dublin and will return on Sunday 27th October. There are still 2 places available and anyone interested can contact John McConnell at (087) 6370074. €100.00 deposit will secure a booking.


Website
Club has its website on air at the moment. Anyone away from home can view the site and see what is happening within the Club at the moment on www.geocities.com/ardaragaa Fixtures, matches played, history and pictures can be viewed on the site as well as much more.


Club Gear
The Club Gear is now on sale for both children and adults. Polo shirts, Fleeces, tracksuit bottoms and jackets are available. We are hoping that all Managers will encourage the children to wear the Club gear when travelling to away games.


History
The Club are compiling the History at the moment. Any information would be most welcoming to the Committee.

Flotto
There was no winner of our weekly Flotto.
The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 10 and 15 the nearest were Nicola Gavigan, Tullintain and Frankie (rock) Shovlin, Clougher, Portnoo. This weeks jackpot stands at €2550.00 and this weeks selling team is Columba Divers Team.


Senior/Reserve and U21
Training continues in Pearse Memorial Park on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for Senior/Reserve and U21.


Monthly Meeting
The monthly meeting of the Club takes place on next Monday night 12th August in Dohertys.


U-10s
The U-10s continue to train on Wednesday evenings. This weekend they take part in a Blitz (check South notes for details)


U-14 Girls
The U-14 Girls have qualified for the County semi-finals against Glenfin which takes place this week.


U-14 Boys
The U-14 Boys return Championship match with St Nauls will now be played in Ardara on tonight Thursday 8th August at 6.30 p.m.


U-16 Boys
The U-16 Boys beat Aodh Rua last week in the drawn Regional Final. A gallent display by all the lads. They now play Cloughaneely in the Co. semi-final on the Banks (N. Mhuire) this week. We hope to see good support for this team.


Minor Play Off
The Minor play off match against Bundoran in the Preliminary round of the Championship which was to be played last Friday as the pitch in Ballintra was not lined. Both teams had travelled to the venue.


Tickets
