GAA Club Call - Ard An Ratha

Flotto
There was no winner of our weekly Flotto. 
The numbers drawn were 5, 12, 15 and 16.  The nearest were Donna baskin, Cronkeerin and Mary McCloskey, Glenteis.  This weeks jackpot stands at £2,200.00 and this weeks selling team is Michael Kennedys.

U-10
The U-10s will take part on this Saturday in the Dungloe Blitz in both A and B competition.

Inter Divisional Blitz
There was a very successful inter divisional Blitz held in Pearse memorial Park last Saturday.  The following teams took part.  Bundoran, Killybegs, Four Masters and Ardara.  The winners were Ardara and Eamon Doherty presented the Trophy to the Captain Damien Boyle.  Thanks to all the referees who took part and to all the teams who provided some very good games.

U-12s
The U-12s lost to Cloughaneely last Friday in the Co. quarter final.  They had an excellent run this year and thanks to all the players and their mentors, Stephen McCahill, Patsy Boyle, John McBrearty, Margaret McHugh and Eamon McNelis who put in excellent work with this team.

U-14s
The U-14 boys have qualified for the Co. Semi finals following a (3-13) to (3-11) win over Killybegs last Wednesday in Pearse Memorial Park.  The goals coming from Conal Gildea (2-00) and Kieran Breslin.  The boys play their final game in the All County Division One South on this Friday against St. Nauls at 6.30 p.m. in Mountcharles.  Bus will leave Divers at 5.30 p.m.

U-18s
The U-18 Boys played their first game in the Championship in Glen last Wednesday evening in Glen on a score of  (3-05) to (0-04).  Scorers were Gareth Concarr (0-01), Derek Boyle (2-01), Kevin Gallagher (2-02) and Stephen McHugh (0-01).  They will now play N. Columab in the return leg of the Championship next week int he return leg.

U-21s
Our U-21s were beaten by Four Masters on Saturday evening last in the Co Semi-final.  Well done to all the lads and to their Managers Jimmy Brennan and Noel Watters.

Ladies Junior Championship
The sun shone on the ladies from the Club last week-end when some of them represented the Club at County level.  Donegal played Derry in the Ladies Junior Championship on Sunday last in Ballybofey in the Ulster Semi-final and they won on a score of (0-12) to (0-08).  Charlene Kennedy and Mairead Gallagher played their part in that success.  They will now play in the Ulster Final in three weeks time.

County U-14s
The County U-14 team had a good result at the week-end when they played Cavan in an All Ireland Tournament at the quarter final stages.  Ciara Mooney, Catriona McHugh, Sharon Kilbane and Eimear O'Donnell all played their part in the win.  They now play Dublin on Saturday 4th August in the Semi-final and the match will be played in Cavan.

County Quarter Final
This Sunday the Club hosts one of the County Quarter final matches this week-end.  We host the Four Masters/Gweedore Reserve and Senior games at 2.00 p.m. and 3.30 p.m.  We ask club members to help with Stewarding of traffic at the field and to report to the field for 1.30 p.m. sharp.

The numbers drawn were 4, 11, 17 and 23.  The nearest were Kathleen McNelis, Corner House and Mary Rose Gallagher, Ballycashal.  This weeks jackpot stands at £2,100.00 and this weeek selling team is John M. Byrnes team.

U-10s
The U-10s made yet another clean sweep on Saturday last when they won both Blitzes in Na Rossa.  A very talented bunch of players.  This week they will train on Thursday evening at 6.00 p.m. and on Saturday morning at 11.00 a.m.

U-12s
The U-12s will play in the County Quarter Final on this Friday evening at 7.00 on the Banks (N. Mhuire).  We hope to see good support for the team.

U-14s
The U-14s had a good victory over Four Masters on a score of (5-06) to (2-02) in the All County league.  They are at home to St. Nauls next Wednesday 25th July at 7.30 p.m.  On Saturday evening they played St. Michael in a clallenge and won on a score of (3-12) to (1-05)

U-21s
The U-21s play in the County Semi final on this saturday evening against Four Masters in Kilcar at 8.00 p.m.  We hope to see ghood support from the Club.

Summer Camp
Next Monday sees the Summer Camp in Pearse memorial Park.  This will run unitil Friday.  This Camp is opened to children from of 7-12 years of age.
The cost is £20.00 per child and £10.00 per additional child.  Top Coaches will be inattendance.  There will be an awards scheme for the participants on the final day at the end of the week.  This is a great week not to be missed.  To book your child contact James McHugh (087) 2222277 or John mcConnell (087) 2701098.  A packed luch is required but a shop will be availbel all week.

Parents
Parents are asked to note that items of clothing are being left behild by their children at the dressing rooms at Peare Memorial Park.  These clothes should be lifted from this area as soon as possible as they will only be kept for a short period.  Persons should contact Columba Diver or any officer of the Club.

County Skills Competition
This Saturday the County Skills competition takes place in McCumhaill Park. Representing the Club will be Peter Oliver McNelis and we wish him the very best of luck.

Thanks
Thanks to all who helped out with stewarding and the Tuck Shop on Saturday and Sunday during the play off Championship matches.  it was a credit to the Club in the way everything was co-ordinated and especially to Columba Diver for the immaculate condition of the field.

U-10s
The U-10s will train this Thursday evening at 6.00 p.m. and they will then take part in na Rossa Blitz on next Saturday morning at 11.00 in Doohey.

U-12s
The U-12s will train this Friday evening at 6.00 p.m. and they will then play Cloughaneely next Monday night.

U-14s
The U-14s had a good victory over Dungloe last week on a score of (4-06) to (1-02).  They will play Killybegs in Pearse memorial Park on next Wednesday 18th July at 7.30 p.m.

Congratulations
Congratulations to the U-14s who  took part in the John McFadden Memorial Tournament in Buncrana on Satuday last and won it.  This was an excellently run competition and the following teams took part.  Ardara, Carndonagh, Buncrana, Dungiven, Lavey, newbridge, Drumsurn and Convoy.  Ardara won all their matches and beat Dungiven in the final ona score of (3-06) to (1-08).
Afterwards Declan Gallagher accepted the Cup as Captain of Ardara.

Commisserations
Commisseration to our Senior Team who exitied from the Senior Championship.
Our Reserves are in the play offs.

Congratulations
Congratulations to Gemma McCahill and Paddy Joe Breslin who were recent winners of Donegal Jerseys Competition run in the local Shops and Pubs.
Cards are on sale in the various shops and Bars and a draw takes place where the winner will receive a Donegal Jersey.

The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 17 and 24.  The nearest were Sarah McGill, Kilclooney and Sean Maloney, Ard Conal.  This weeks jackpot stands at £1,900.00 and this weeks selling team is Adrina Concarrs Team.

U-10 A & B Teams
Congratulations to the U-10 A and B Team who won both their Blitzes in Kilcar on Saturday last.  They will continue training on thursday evening at 6.00 p.m. and on Saturday morning at 11.00 a.m.

U-12's
Commisserations to the U-12 Team who lost to Killybegs in the Divisional Final in Glenties last week.  They have acquitted themselves very well in this competition and they still qualify to play in the Competition.  They will train on Friday evening at 6.00 p.m. and again on Monday evening at 6.00 p.m.

U-14s
The U-14s beat Kilcar last week on a score of (5-06) to (2-04).  They now play Four Masters on next Thursday 12th July in Tir Chonaill Park at 6.30p.m.  Bus leaes Divers at 5.30 p.m.

Minors
The Minors begin their Championship quest next Wednesday evening 11th July when they play N. Columba in Glen at 7.30 p.m.

Junior Championship
The 2nd leg of the Junior Championship takes place this Saturday evening in Pearse Memorial Park when they take on Aodh Rua at 7.30 p.m.

Summer Camp
The Summer Camp takes place in Ardara from Monday 23rd July until 27th July.
The Camp is opened to all children from the age of 7 -12 years of age.
£20.00 per child and £10.00 per additional child.  Forms should be completed and returned to James McHugh or John mcConnell.

Meeting
The monthly meeting of the Club takes palce this coming Monday night in Dohertys at 9.30 p.m.

U-14 Girls
Commisserations to our U-14 girls who lost to Glenfin in the County semi-final in Glenties last week.  Thanks to James McBrearty and Jimmy Boyle who trained this team.

U-13 Girls win Ulster Final

WELL DONE to the Ardara u-13 girls indoor soccer team who won the
Ulster final in Irvinestown yesterday.They now go forward to represent
Ulster in Mosney at the Community Games.The team are;Captain-Maeve
O'Donnell,Aoife Kilbane,Aoife Watters,Dena Sweeney,Kelly Bennett,Carol
Breslin and Catherine Heraghty.Managers-Jackie Gallagher and Hughie
