Flotto
There was no winner of our weekly Flotto.
The numbers drawn were 5, 12, 16 and 23 and the nearest
were Hugh Gallagher, Glengesh and Richard Porter,
Monargan This weeks Jackpot stands at 4200.00
and this weeks Flotto selling team is Mary Kellys Team.
Senior and U21
Training continues in Pearse Memorial Park on Tuesday and
Thursday evenings for Senior and U21. The Senior team
finished their League campaign with a victory over Fanad
Gaels on Sunday last.
U-10 Parish League Final
The U-10 Parish League Final in memory of the late
Michael McNelis took place on Sunday last in Pearse
Memorial Park. A large number of parents and club members
attended despite the inclement weather conditions. Four
teams participated in the league over the past few weeks
and the A and B finals took place on Sunday. The winners
of the B Final was Paul Gallaghers team on a score of (3-01)
to (2-01). The A finals was won by Kevin Herrons team on
a score of (3-02) to (1-02). Afterwards the presentations
took place in the Tea Rooms where Connie Bennett acted as
MC. He thanked all the parents and Children for their
participation in the U-10 Squad this year. Over 70
children were part of the U-10s this year. Thanks
Managers Jackie Gallagher, Connie Bennett, Conal McLoone,
Matthew Melly, Tomas Boyle and Ted Breslin who managed
the U-10s this year. All the players were presented with
trophies sponsored by Eamon & Grainne McNelis and
Family. Eamon McNelis presented Kevin Herron with the
Michael McNelis Cup as winners of the A Final. Ryan Melly
received the B Players of the Year and Natalie Sweeney
received the A Player of the Year. A presentation was
made to Gemma McCahill for her assistance with the U-10
team this year.
Thanks to all the parents and also to Sally Bennett and
Geraldine Gallagher for providing refreshments for the
parents and to Martin McMahon from the Narin Inn and to
Tomas Boyle from the Greenhouse who sponsored food for
the U-10 players.
U-13s
The U-13s will train every Wednesday evening at 5.30 p.m.
They played N. Conaill at home on Saturday last and were
defeated by one point. This Saturday 26th October they
play St Nauls in Mountcharles and on Bank Holiday Monday
28th they play N. Conaill in Glenties. Both matches will
be at 11.00 a.m.
U-14s
Well done to the U-14 Team who took part in the U-14
Competition in Derrygonnelly on Sunday last. They
qualified for the final and were defeated by five points.
Well done to all concerned.
Holiday Group
The holiday group have departed for their week holiday in
Spain. We hope that that all enjoy themselves.

Club History
The Club History is scheduled to be published next March.
The Committee are ongoing in their collation of the
Material. They would make a final appeal to anyone who
has old photographs or information that they would like
to be included in the book to forward to any of the
following. As the time is getting short they are asking
that all material be with the Committee before Christmas.
The committee are Mary Kelly, James McHugh, John
McConnell, James McBrearty, George Doherty, Tom O'Donnell
and Conal A Gildea.

GAA Club Call -
Ard An Ratha
Great
Achievement
Pride of place this week goes to our U-14 Boys who win
the Co. League Title and to the U-16 Girls who win the
Ladies U-16 Championship. This is a great achievement for
both teams. For the Ladies this is the fourth Co Title to
the Club this Year. They have won Co U-14, U-16,
Intermediate and Co Senior Gaeltacht Titles this year.
Well done to their Managers James McBrearty and Jimmy
Boyle and assisted by Margaret McHugh. On average 70-80
girls have worn the club jersey this year as they also
fielded and U-12 Team who reached the Co semi-final.
U-14 Boys
The U-14 Boys played a brilliant game against near rivals
Killybegs on Saturday last in Kilcar. They won on a score
of (3-07) t0 (1-09). Team and Scorers were Donal Byrne,
Conor Classon, J. J. Shovlin, Francis Boyle, Paddy
McGrath, Oisin O'Donnell, John F. Barrett, Declan
Gavigan, Stephen Boyle, Anthony Byrne, Fergus McBrearty (0-01),
James Boyle, Pete-So Cannon (0-01), Conal Gildea (2-04)
Capt, Noel Gallagher (1-01). Subs - Jonathon Gallagher,
Jonathon Shovlin, Stephen McCahill, Brian Collum, Colm
Byrne. Afterwards Kathleen Campbell from the Southern
Board presented Conal Gildea (Capt) with the Cup. Thanks
to Managers John Hegarty, Hugh G Gavigan and Don Early
for all their work with this team for the Year.
U-16 Girls
The U-16 Girls Team beat Moville on a score of (3-17) to
(3-06). Team and Scorers were Michelle Gallagher,
Catherine Herrity, Stephanie Sweeney (Capt), Maura
McHugh, Eimear O'Donnell, Sharon Kilbane, Aoife Watters,
Ciara Mooney, Aoife McDonald (0-02), Catriona McHugh (0-03),
Martina McHugh (2-02), Threse M Gallagher, Carol Breslin
(1-07), Aisling Corcoran (0-01), Carmel Boyle (0-02).
Subs - Meave O'Donnell, Catriona Feeney, Carrie Bennett,
Mary Whelan, Bernadine McCabe, Louise McKenna. Thanks to
all the parents and supporters who travelled to the match
and afterwards Charlie Kavanagh from the Ladies Co. Board
presented the Cup to the Captain Stephanie Sweeney.
Flotto

were Peter Cunningham, Loughross Point and Karina Boyle,
Tullycleave. This weeks Jackpot stands at 4050.00
and this weeks Flotto selling team is Michael Breslins

Senior and U21
Training continues in Pearse Memorial Park on Tuesday and
Thursday evenings for Senior and U21. The Senior team
have one more game left in the League at home to Fanad
Gaels - a win will ensure that they will finish in the
top four of the League.
U-10 Parish League Final
The U-10 Parish League Final will take place on this
coming Sunday 20th October at 4.45 p.m. in Pearse
Memorial Park. The A and B Finals will be played. All
parents are asked to come along to end the year for the U-10s
which was a very successful one. Refreshments will be
served after the match with the Presentations taking
place in the Tea Room Afterwards.
U-12 Parish League Final
The U-12 Parish League Final took place last Sunday at
Pearse Memorial Park where the A Final was contested by
Peter Olivers Team v Jonathon Gallaghers Team. This
proved to be a very exciting match with Peter Olivers
Team edging out winners on a score of (2-06) to (2-01).
The B final was contested by Francis Boyle Team v Declan
Boyles Team. Another very exciting game which saw Declan
Boyles Team won on a score of (2-08) to (1-07).
Afterwards Chairman of the Minor Board Larry Gallagher
acted as MC. The Kevin McGill Memorial Cup was Presented
to Peter O. McNelis Captain of the Winning A Team.
Plaques were presented to the Captains of the Teams.
Thanks to John McConnell who refereed both matches, to
the Managers for all their work in the past year and to
the parents. Also the Tea ladies and parents who provided
refreshments for the day. A video of the days events will
be on sale next Sunday during the U-10 Parish league

U-13s
The U-13s will train every Tuesday night. They will play
their first match this Saturday morning. See South Notes

Well Done
Well done to Stephen McHugh who scored (2-03) for the
Regional Technical College last week.
Club Holiday
Next Sunday 20th October Club Holiday Group will depart
for their Holiday. The Coach will leave from Dohertys on
Sunday afternoon at 4.30 p.m. They will fly from Dublin
on Sunday night at 11.30 p.m.

Kentuckey. This weeks Jackpot stands at 3750.00 and
this weeks Flotto selling team is Eamon McNelis Team.
Senior and U21
Training continues in Pearse Memorial Park on Tuesday and
Thursday evenings for Senior and U21. The Reserves played
Dungloe on Sunday last in the last game of the League.
Thanks to all the players who played during the year and
also to the Management Anthony Molloy and John Hegarty.
The Senior Team have one match left in the League which
is a home game - a win will ensure that they will finish
in the top four of the League.
U-10 Parish League
The U-10 Parish Leagues continue each Wednesday evening.
Last week two more exciting matches took place. In the
first match the "Swifts" proved too strong for
the "Flyers". Winning by a score of (2-02) to (1-03).
In the second match the "Bullets" came out on
top over the "Rockets" winning by (2-02) to (0-01).
As thing s stand now the "Swifts" are
guaranteed a place in the A Final with the "Flyers"
and the "Bullets" battling it out for the right
to join them in the Final.
U-10s
Last Saturday in Glenties both A and B Teams took part in
the Delayed U-10 Harvest Fair Blitz in Glenties. The As
were defeated by N. Columba and N. Conaill but finished
their season with a victory over Killybegs. The B Team
won the B Blitz to finish their season unbeaten, which is
a great achievement for them. Great credit is due to all
the boys and girls who competed for the U-10s this year.
They certainly did the Club proud.
U-12s
The U-12s will continue with their Parish Leagues on
Tuesday evening at Pearse Memorial Park at 6.00 p.m. The
Finals will now be played at a later date due to the U-13s
beginning.
U-13s
The U-13s will begin this week-end. Training for all U-13s
at Pearse Memorial Park this Thursday evening 3rd October
at 6.00 p.m. The U-13 Competition starts this coming
Saturday morning 5th October at 11.00 with a home game
against N. Conaill in Pearse Memorial Park. All players
to report to the Dressing Rooms at 10.30 a.m.
Willie Rodgers U-12 Tournament
The Willie Rodgers U-12 Tournament was held in
Ballyshannon in which our U12 team took part. They
acquited themselves very well in this competition and
lost the semi-final to Four Masters.
U-14 Boys
The U-14 Boys were defeated by Killybegs in the League
Divisional Final in Kilcar last Friday evening. The will
now play in the Co. semi-final of the League against St
Eunans this coming week-end.
Co Ladies
It was unfortunate for our Co Ladies Team on Sunday last
who lost to Galway in the All Ireland Final. It was a
great day for the Club to have two girls in Charlene
McHugh and Mairead Gallagher represent us on the day in
Croke Park. We congratulate them on their achievements
for the year. A coach from the Club travelled to Croke
Park for the day which included the U-14 and U-16 Girls
Team and other supporters.
Donegal U-21 Championship
The U-21s edged out Kilcar in the first round of the
Donegal U-21 Championship. They now play McCumhaills on
this coming Sunday 6th in McCumhaill Park at 1.30 p.m.
Monthly Meeting
The club will hold their monthly meeting next Tuesday 8th
October in Dohertys at 9.00 p.m.
Club Holiday
The Club holiday is now fully booked. The Group will
depart on Friday 20th October. Tickets will be issued in
the coming weeks.
