Our Junior ‘A’ hurling team were defeated in their ‘backdoor’ game in the championship at Caherlag on Wednesday night.

Killeagh proved far too strong in the junior A game, winning by 3-11 to 2-4. The amazing feature of the game was that all our scores came from frees by Barry Hazelwood, we got no score from play.

Killeagh were far sharper on the night and they now met Dungourney in the quarter final. This was the end of our first Junior ‘A’ Championship campaign since 1998. we are still in contention in Division Two of the league so the season isn’t over yet.
