This was the first ever East Cork final played outside of East
Cork and the first East Cork final to be played under floodlights. As
the scoreline suggests we couldn't reproduce the efforts seen in the
Semi Final against Cobh. The achievement of winning the Intermediate
Hurling Championship was tremendous for the club and this would have
been the icing on the cake but alas it wasn't to be. It was a great
tribute to the players to give this a real go and their efforts were
very much appreciated by the large crowd that turned up to the match.
They have done their club proud and will be back to challenge again
next year.
