MINISTER of State Dick Roche has voiced his 'serious concern' about the lack of progress on the Brittas Bay water scheme.
'It appears that there has been no effective action from the council on this', Minister Roche said, 'and it is now time that we got some answers from the council on the matter. The people of Brittas Bay have a right to a clean water supply.'
A comprehensive report detailing exactly what plans they have for the water scheme in Brittas Bay should be provided by the council, added the TD, 'and more importantly what the duration will be until the people of Brittas Bay are supplied with a safe and reliable water service.'
'The increases in infrastructure funding will become meaningless if the council is not speedy in getting projects up and running,' he said.
