Our Computer Room
The school wishes to
thank sincerely the following who helped to finance our computer room:
Dept. of Education &
Science, BOM, Parents Council, Bunclody Soccer Club, Halfway-House / Bunclody GAA,
Bunclody Lions Club, O'Leary's Newsagency, O'Learys Esso Service Station, parents and many
friends of the school.
Our Computer Room has
12 Gateway computers and was opened in Sept. 1998. There are computer courses for
adults and parents. We have Internet access and lots of games.
Our favourite game is Map Detectives. Every class gets a timetable so everyone gets to go
twice a week. Sixth class has a computer as well. The games in the computer room teach us
Irish, French, typing and also about the human body. There is a history explorer where our
teacher gives us a sheet of paper with questions and we have to find on the map the
information we need to answer the questions. There is another explorer that tells us about
dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures.
There are also games with puzzles and riddles that would make you go mad!
We think everyone enjoys the computer room and it is one of the greatest things that has
come to the school.
