About FETAC

The Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) is the statutory
awarding body for further education and training in Ireland. FETAC makes
quality assured awards that are part of the National Framework of Qualifications
(NFQ) from levels 1-6. Meeting learner needs is central to the work of FETAC.

FETAC: makes and promotes awards on the National Framework of Qualifications
determines standards and award requirements validates programmes leading
to awards, monitors and quality assures programmes and services.

FETAC actively promotes its awards and the quality of further education and training,
nationally and internationally. The promotion of awards is a legislative requirement.
Since FETAC's establishment in 2001,

FETAC name and identity as the single national awarding body in Further Education
and training and as the unifying 'hub' for the sector FETAC awards as part of the
National Framework of Qualifications.

National Framework of Qualifications as being the key driver for recognition,
progression and mobility for learners principle of robust quality assurance behind
awards and provision/services associated with FETAC.

Our key message remains focussed on the quality of awards and of further education
and training in Ireland.
