V.T.O.S. Information

There is no formal education requirements needed to join VTOS.

Can I Join The Scheme?

Yes, if you are:-

Aged 21 or over

In receipt of Jobseekers Allowance or Jobseekers Benefit or signing on for credits for at least six months.

In receipt of a One-Parent Family Allowance, Disability Allowance, Disability Benefit or Invalidity Pension for at least six months or a Dependant Spouse.

If you are over 312 days on one of these payments then you are eligible for a FÁS Trainee Allowance.

What Will It Cost Me?

Courses are provided Free Of Charge.

You retain all your Social Welfare payments.

You will get a Travel Allowance (over 3 miles) and also a Meal Allowance.

Books, Materials and Exams are also Free Of Charge.

Childcare support is available in the form of Financial Support.

Duration

VTOS is a Two Year Full-Time Training Programme.
