Finding Answers to the Questions of Life

If we take the time to think about life we may reach either the same conclusion as the little old lady - that "life sucks" OR conclude that there must be something more to it - that there must be purpose, meaning, goals and achievements that make it worthwhile.

We can be so busy going around in our daily treadmill of activities and things that we forget to ask the basic question of whether we are getting anywhere that really matters.

Someone has compared life to a race and urged us to run it in such a way that we may win. This implies that we make a conscious choice about where we are going and determine the best way to get there. If we accept this analogy it leads us to a series of other questions:

  1. What is the prize.
  2. What are the rules of the race.
  3. How do I overcome the obstacles and unfair competition.
  4. Is there anything that I can legitimately do to enhance my performance above my natural limitations and an aging body.

The Alpha course which is being run in thousands of churches will give you the opportunity to ask questions and to get answers. Search the Alpha web site to get details of a course being run in your locality. Alternatively ask us or our friends for answers.
