Dear Residents,

Welcome to the first newsletter.  I wish it every success.  Please keep your articles coming to inform your fellow residents of local activities.  Our current project is to develop the "Ball Courts" near the swimming pool. it is proposed to have two tennis courts, basketball court and goal posts for five a side soccer.  The groundwork has already started, if you have some spare time call any night or on Saturday to give a hand.  I would also like to congratulate the "Glen Carraig Kids Committee" on securing funding for a playground in the green area and I wish them every success with this project.  I would like to thank the community for their support in our recent draw which raised £6,500 approx towards our development fund and a more detailed update on our finances will be published in the future with the consent of the Community Council members.  Yours sincerely, Michael Collins, Chairman.  October 2001.

October Theme: Village Clean-up

A big thank you to everybody that participated in our June clean -up day.  It was obvious to see on the day that sweet papers were the majority item that we had to pick tip.  So if we could educate our children to bring their litter home with them it would go a long way to keeping our village clean.  We plan to have our second clean up day in November.  Notification will be on the next publication of the Carraig-na-bhfear newsletter.  Veronica Collins.
