We
once had the envious position of having three shops in Carraig na bhFear,
nowadays there are two, one occupies the old national boys school...Coakley's
owned by Richard and Margaret Coakley and the other is Kitty's owned by Kitty
O'Sullivan. Each has memories for all, be they young or old. The convenience of
the local shop is something we take for granted 364 days of the year,
supermarkets have become the norm for peoples weekly grocery foray, i.e. for
people with transport to make that journey. The local shop provides a valuable
service for all in the community. We wish Richard, Margaret and Kitty continued
success for the future.
