Directions from Dublin Airport

When you pass through the toll booth on the motorway, take the next exit and follow the signs for the West N4 & N6. Leave Dublin and head West through ENFIELD and MOYVALLEY. In KINNEGAD take the N6 towards GALWAY, via KILBEGGEN and MOATE. Drive on the By-pass around ATHLONE, and look for the TUAM R363 exit.

Take this exit and at the T-junction turn right and drive straight for 12 miles through many small villages such as, BRIDESWELL, DYSART, THOMAS STREET, until you reach BALLYFORAN. Drive through the village and across the River Suck, towards TUAM. Reset your milage clock on the bridge and drive 1 mile and take the left turn (remember there is no signpost). Reset your milage clock once again and drive for 2.3 miles and take the small road on your left. We are at the end of that road. If you miss that turn and come to a large cross road, you have gone too far!

Directions from Shannon Airport

Take the N18 to GALWAY, passing through ENNIS and GORT. When you reach GORT take the N66 which is a right turn in the middle of the town to LOUGHREA, where you will join the N6 (just after you pass a lake on your right) towards BALLINASLOE (turn right in LOUGHREA).

Drive through LOUGHREA on the N6. When you reach AUGHRIM look out for signs for the Old School Resturant. When you reach that resturant (on your right-hand side) drive 1 mile approx and take a small right turn, signpost for AHASCRAGH 6. Drive through the village of AHASCRAGH (it will be on your right), drive straight through it until you reach the STAT OIL garage. Reset your milage clock and drive for 1 mile to a signpost "ROSCOMMON / BALLYGAR". Turn right here and drive exactly 3 miles to our gates which will be on your right. They look rather old! The Castle is 1 mile up the drive way from these gates.
