Antiques by 3rd Class.

This is a potato masher.

This is a willow pattern plate and black kettle.

This is a butter churn. You turn the handle on the side.

This is a milk sieve. Your pour milk in first and then you leave it for a day. All the cream stays on the top and you put that in the butter churn, spin it for a half an hour, add salt and then you leave it for a day and then you have Butter.

This is a wash board. You put this washboard in the bucket, fill the bucket with water. You get this soap with a really strong smell and you rub the washboard with the soap. Then you rub the clothes up and down.

This is an oil lamp. Caoimhe's Granny still has one but they don't use it any more. You put oil into it, I don't know where. You light it with a match and you can put the light high or low by using the knob on the side.

This is a just a bucket.

This is a girl wearing a bib. The women had an old bib for milking the cows and a new bib for special occasions like the priest came to visit. There's a hole burnt in the bib from cooking.

This is a shoehorn. This was used for fixing shoes when the heel falls off. Mrs. Lynch's shoe is being fixed.

Information dictated by Alan and Caoimhe.
