Christmas in Ennis
A Christmas Tree in our Hall.
Our Christmas Crib.
Over here in Ennis we give gifts to each other and eat turkey and ham for dinner. The roads are very slippery because of ice. Some people pull Christmas crackers and get small gifts. In Irish we call Christmas Eve Oiche Nollaig. We also put up Christmas trees and decorate it. In the square there are people sing Christmas carols. When it snows we have snowball fights and make snow men. My favorite time of Christmas is when I open my present's my worst day is the 6th of January when Christmas is over.

Christmas in Ennis
Christmas in Ennis is mostly cold or you could say icy-cold even in the summer it is cold. But now back to winter. My favourite part of Christmas is when my family gets together and gives each other our Christmas present. If you wanted to say Christmas in Irish you would say "An Nollaig" and Christmas Eve is "oíche Nollag" but I don’t say that I just say Christmas. The thing I hate about Christmas is that I have to wait a year for it to come same with my birthday I have to wait a year for that to come too and guess what my birthday it is in December. The thing I love about Christmas is putting up the Christmas tree and putting up the decorations. Maybe this year we may have snow. We had it last year. I didn't like it because the boys put stones in the snowballs and it hurt me but I will get them back. Merry Christmas too all from Karen.
Christmas Ennis
In Ennis the town is decorated with lights.
In the churches there are some cribs.
The shop windows are decorated with tinsel,stars etc.
On Christmas eve Santa travels all over the world bringing presents to the children.
Some relations come to visit Ennis people whom they are related to.
We put up Christmas trees and decorate them with tinsel,an angel,stars,plastic bits and pieces and so on.
In our homes we put candles on our windows which are said to welcome any poor wandering stranger into our house.
On Christmas Day we eat turkey, ham,stuffing,potatoes and gravy.
Afterwards we pull crackers and play with our new things.
In mid-December we send Christmas cards to friends and family.
We get school holidays on the 21st of December and are off until the 7th of January.
In my school choir we are going singing Christmas carols in the mall.
The Christmas weather in Ennis is nearly always awful.

Christmas in Ennis
I love Christmas in Ennis because the atmosphere is really nice and around your estate it is fun if it is snowing. When it is snowing we have snowball fights with our friends and go skiding on a slippy part of the ground. When the day is finished and it is time to go home, sometimes one of my best friends James comes to my house (or I go to his house) there is a lovely fire on, and then we get to drink hot choclate and watch Christmas films. Then we get to slide down the stairs in a sleeping bag and if it is a sleep over we go to bed about twelve and get up about five, then we wait for the sun to come out and then the day starts again.

Christmas in Ennis
Christmas in Ennis is very nice. There are a lot of Christmas lights in Ennis at this jolly time of year. there is a huge crib in the friary and a huge Christmas tree in the cathedral.
My uncle and aunt come from England to celebrate Christmas with me and my other relations.
Last year I got ill on St.Stephans day (Boxing Day) and I couldn't play with my new toys for very long.
On Christmas day we eat turkey, spuds and a bit of ham. We pull crackers, tell jokes and play a few games.
In my house we get up at 8:30am on Christmas morning so I can play with my new toys that I got from Santa clause (Saint Nicholas). I go to mass at 12noon in the cathedral and have dinner at 2:00pm so that I have a lot of time to play with my new toys.
There is a toy mass in ennis where we bring old toys to mass. The priest gives those toys to children in poorer countries.

Christmas in Ennis
My name is Cathy. In my house we all love Christmas. On the 20th of December my relations will be coming. I just can't wait until Christmas. Here in Ennis they have put up the street lights. My family are putting up the Christmas decorations on the 15th. When Santa comes he'll see the Christmas cracker by the window some biscuits and some carrots for Rudolph and the other reindeer. I hope it snows. Last year I think it snowed but I had a cough and I had to stay inside. Every year in Ennis the church has a toy mass and the children that has toys and they don’t want them any more they bring it to mass. This year I'm going Christmas carol singing for muscular distrophy.

We have lots of fun pulling crackers and eating lots of sweets. I will leave a glass of milk for Santa. For Christmas dinner we have turkey and ham. For desert we have fruit salad. Last year we had snow. I have great fun putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it. My relations come visiting. On the 14th of Dec. the school choir is going carol singing. In the church we have the advent wreath. In school we are decorating our classroom. We have a toy mass to send toys to poor countries. I am going to a Santa party on the 17th of Dec.

Christmas in Ennis
Christmas sort of starts for my family when we put up our Christmas decorations. There is Christmas music concerts and I already have some presents because my birthday is on the 19th of December. Around the start of December the Ennis streetlights are turned on. A lot of the choirs in Ennis go carol singing and our school choir goes as well. One of my favourite parts of Christmas is when my family put up our decorations and our Christmas tree. We all help putting things up and we have a set of Christmas lights, which we put up around the front door. Another great part of Christmas is when we leave some biscuits and a drink for Santa Clause and we hang up our stockings on our stocking hangers. In the morning we go downstairs to open our presents. On St. Steven’s Day my family go to Dublin to see my relations. And if it snows we can have snow ball fights and make snow men. From Fiona.
Christmas in Ennis
In Ennis we put up lights all over Ennis this year we put up more than any other year.on shop windows there are paintings of Santa Claus and aloud more .The weather is wicket I say weal have a lot of snow this year. My brother is looking forward to it more than I am. Ennis is as busy because all of the shops are open on Sundays. I love pulling crackers and eating sweets and this year IM going to leave out milk and some cake and a carrot for Rudolph. On Christmas Eve my brother and me try to stay up bot it never works. On Christmas day I get up at 6 o clock and what a surprise when we see all the presents. IM getting a ps2 and 2 games for it a WWF T-shirt a ps2 memory card.

My name is James. I live in Ennis. I am ten years old. Christmas is my favorite time of year. We put up decorations to celebrate the time of Christmas. People give each other presents and cards to each other. At the time of Christmas people put up Christmas trees and decorate their houses. Lights are put up in the town. In winter it rarely snows. There is a toy mass in church. People go around singing Christmas carols. There are nativity plays and Christmas parties. We get holidays for Christmas and we are back to school again in January.
