his school was founded by the Christian Brothers in John's Lane in 1862. A beautiful new building at Summerhill was opened in 1970. Our school has grown steadily and now caters for over 500 boys. We promote Christian values and excellence in all areas of personal development and academic achievement. We are very proud of the excellent results being achieved each year by our pupils in the State exams. A very comprehensive curriculum is provided by a highly qualified, dedicated, enthusiastic and caring teaching staff. The school is managed by a Board of Management. 

Partnership With Parents:

Parents play an important and vital role in partnership with the school and various parents' committees provide marvelous support each year. We operate an "open door policy" and parents are encouraged to attend formal meetings and also to meet members of staff.

Discipline:

Our students are the men of the future and we strive to prepare them to take their place as responsible and caring citizens in society. Our discipline code and school rules are important elements in this process and every student is expected to respect and abide by them. In this way the boys learn to accept responsibility for their own actions. Visitors are invariably impressed by the working atmosphere in our school. Our pupils are polite and mature young people who have a positive attitude towards their work, their teachers and each other.
