In the year 2000, 90 native Irish trees were planted at Crescent, as the beginning of a Wildlife Garden. This space provides a natural habitat for insects and birds. Here we hope to learn to live in harmony with nature, and to grow in respect for God's creation.

In the wildlife garden we can learn:

  • To be reconciled to nature, and to be less greedy and arrogant;
  • To see nature as a generous sustaining friend needing respect;

  • To recognize that we are surrounded on all sides by gifts of God that are both wonderful and fragile;
  • To receive these gifts of God with graditude, and not take them for granted.
