The Copper Coast Photography Competition

The competition run from June to September 2008.
It was open to young photographers aged 11 to 16 years old.
The categories were Landscape, Geology and Nature.

The overall winner was James Upton from Tramore who received a Nikon
compact camera. James also won the best in landscape and nature categories.
John Crowley, Ballydwane, Bunmahon won the best in the Geology category.
The winners will take part in digital photography workshop with George Munday,
professional photographer who runs the "Copper Coast Workshops" in
Ballydwane.

The winners of the Copper Coast Geopark photo competition were presented
with their prizes by Tina Keating, Copper Coast Geopark’s geologist, and the
2009 Copper Coast Calendar featuring their photos, along with photos kindly
supplied by Copper Coast Workshops. The calendars were sponsored by
local businesses and are on sale in outlets throughout the county and from
the office at Knockmahon.
