The annual Wexford Festival Opera is the jewel in the crown of Ireland's
arts programme, an event of truly international importance which marks
the county out as a major venue for the performing arts.

For opera lovers, its a unique chance to see full stagings of lesser
known works by great composers, plus a wide programme of recitals,
concerts and lectures.


Wexford Beaches
Two hundred kilometres of coastline on two seas: miles and miles of
unspoilt golden strand and secluded coves, four Blue Flag standard
beaches attesting to the purity of the water, added to the wild beauty
and more hours of sunshine than any other part of  Ireland make Wexford

The Irish Agricultural Museum is within the
ornamental grounds of Johnstown Castle.


This award winning museum has 25,000 sq. feet of
displays on agriculture, rural transport, country
furniture.
Irish National Heritage Park,
Ferrycarrig

The Irish National Heritage Park depicts many settlements
in Ireland from 7000 BC to the arrival of the Norman's in
the 12th century. Stroll through the park with it's
homesteads, places of ritual, burial modes with long
forgotten remains. Your sense 's come alive with sights

The National 1798 visitor centre traces  the
Rebellion of 1798 in County Wexford, together with
events as they happened in Europe, United States
and Australia.
The Revolution experience is dramatic audio visual display using a curved screen to
simulate the battle of Vinegar Hill and is the highlight of the show.

The John F. Kennedy
Arboretum, New Ross

The John F. Kennedy Arboretum, on 252 hectares
contains over 4,500 types of trees and shrubs, 200
forest plots, rhododendrons, dwarf conifers, lake,
viewing point, tea room and visitor centre with an
audio-visual show.

JFK Trust Dunbrody Ship, New Ross
Dunbrody, a ship of the famine is currently under construction in New Ross, 
Co. Wexford.


The largest and most spectacular tall ship ever build in the Republic of Ireland is
already taking shape as the shipwrights work the wood into the complex lines of this
magnificent three masted barque.
 

Visitors can view progress on the ship and  imagine how this majestic ship will look in
full sail on its Maiden Voyage to the USA.

Hosted in Enniscorthy's 13th Century Norman Castle, the
Wexford County Museum cover many aspects of Wexford's
past, including the 1798 Rebellion.
