Fáilte to Gaelscoil Cholmcille's 'Buy the Site' campaign. Gaelscoil Cholmcille is a thriving school in the heart of Dublin's Northside with wonderful múinteoirí, great parents and amazing páistí who strive to embrace all that is best about irish culture - language, dance, music, sport, drama etc.
Yet this jewel in the crown of the Irish Primary Education system is housed in drastically inadequate facilities above a football club where the 230 children are crammed into tiny, dark and unsafe classrooms. Why? Because the Department of Education depite promise after promise have stonewalled and delayed all attempts for this school to aquire a permanent home for 8 years.
