Entrapment, by Webmaster, scored 10/10
Entrapment is what cops do to thieves. Not blackmail. Packed with more twists than raspberry ripple, Entrapment is definately one to seek out in the video shop. I rented it last night, watched it this morning. Probobly one of the coolest videos I watched in ages.
Sean Connery is back in action once again and still has that James Bond thing going on. He plays the part of Mac, an art thief who steals not because he has to - but for pure fun. Until he meets up with Ms Catherine Zeta-Jones, one of the worlds greatest thieves even if the doesn't show it off. The outline of the film goes that Connery plays the theif and gets hooked by Jones who needs hom on a job. She is also playing the part of an investigator, out to set up and capture Connery. But if you've seen the film you will realise that the plot goes way way way deeper than that.
A priceless Chinese mask is the object. Worth US$40 million to a Malaysian dealer. No hassle. The International Clearance Bank, Kuala Lumpur. US$8 billion. The biggest heist is going down and its twisted between the two main characters and two subsequent characters, Jones' boss and Connery's friend who gets him what he wants. But what if the worlds greatest crooks playing a game of deceit fall for each other?
The film will keep you watching up to the credits guaranteed. No-ones true role is revealed until the very end of the film so you have to watch it even for that. Its pure Sean Connery with the beautiful girl by his side. We have timers, fast cars, explosives, secret spys, parachute jumps, guns, hidden cameras, more technical tricks than you can shake a stick, and one of the greatest actors ever to come on the scene.
If you want a good film to watch then check this one out. I missed it in the cinema but made sure I wouldn't pass it up on video. For £2.75 you can't go wrong. You just have to watch this film. Looks like Sean Connery wanted to have seen Entrapment been the 20th bond flick. It has the makings of that typical Connery/Bond feature. But he did it to get back in the movies, a small percentage of the takings was all he asked for. You cant go much wrong there. Wait and see...
By the way, I score this film a 10/10. Love twists, love action, love complication. And more! Thinking different? Email me with your opinions.
