Toy Story 2, by Marcus, was given a grade A
Rating: A
Story: Woody (Tom Hanks) is kidnapped by a toy collector and how his friends plan to save him.
Comment:
Sequel is usually not as good as its first episode but not Toy Story. In fact, part two fares much better than part one in many ways.
The story plot is more touching and exciting compare to the former. There are a few heart wrenching parts. Two very good examples are: 1) the mother of Andy (Woody's master) take a toy penguin which is faulty to a garage sale, the penguin said "goodbye" sadly to Woody. 2) Jessie (a cowgirl) recalled how she is being abandoned by her owner. It makes you seems like a sinner to throw away your toy. As seen for toys' point of view, they hope that you will take good care of them for life.
I like what the movie trying say which I think is quite true -- "To a child, a toy is just a toy. But to an adult, a toy is a collector item." I also love one quote Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) had said: "Life is only worth living, if you are love by a kid."
There are more toys this time round compare to the last one. Barbie doll is one of them. But the cutest one should be Bull's eye (a horse). Besides the story line, the drawing is so real! I am so amazed of their computer techniques. The colour, the movement, the outline, everything is so nicely put together.
If you plan to have a great laugh (or cry), this show is not to be missed.
