The nearest city campsite is the Salthill Campsite, about a 15 minute bus journey from the city centre. Its a cheap option for those with a bit of cash!

We are trying to arrange a special discount from the Salmon Weir hostel, which is located about a minute from where the convention will be going on.

Kinlay House Hostel (ph. 091-565244), Barnacles of Quay St. (www.barnacles.ie / ph. 091-568644) and the ArchView Hostel (ph. 091-586661) are all cheap and popular places to rest your head.

Here is a good website to give yourself an overall picture of what the accommodtion situation is like in Galway City.There are a number of options when arranging a place to stay in Galway over the weekend, from hostels to hotels, B and B's to campsites. If you get really stuck you could always sleep on the beach, just don't forget your sleeping bag!
