(Schools' Choir Festival) in the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght.

Choir

  1. The Blue Tail Fly
    A good clear start to this lively song. Bright, clear, expressive singing.
    Very stylish rendering of the change of character and then a great rally at the end.
    Highly commended.
  2. In Aisling Dom
    Words very well delivered. An soléir.
    Tempo deas amll agus canadh bog agus binn.
    A good contrast to No.1
  3. Chiapanecas
    You captured the atmosphere of this song immediately.
    A good sense of the rhythmic character of this song.
    Words clear. Everyone very attentive to the conductor.
Very good performance all round. Good choice of songs.
A musical group of girls.

Recorder Group

  1. Andulko
    Very confident start to this piece.
    Musically performed throughout with very good use of parts.
  2. Toreador from ‘Carmen’
    Very good to have a well known piece for the audience to recognise.
    Well performed with a sureness and a lovely addition of claves.
  3. My Grandfather’s Clock
    A nice change of tempo for this song. Good use of speech adding interest.
    Great playing throughout.
  4. Loch Lomond
    Lovely musical rendering of the solo line with a well-managed change to ‘tutti’.
  5. Three Little Fishes
    A perfect choice to finish off this great presentation of recorder playing.
    Rhythmically accurate with body movement adding great interest.
Overall a very fine, musical performance from these girls.
