4th Class love the Science Bus
March 2003

This year’s visit of the Science Bus was brilliant as usual!
We always look forward to having fun, experimenting with different
equipment and materials, wearing the white coats and goggles...
they make us feel like real professors!

For this experiment we had to attach the shoots together and put the small silver ball into the side cup and twist it around. The ball travelled through the shoots and in to the catcher. We changed the design of the shoots around and did it again and again.
Lynsey
In this experiment we put the slide onto the white mark in the middle of the microscope and we could see flies, nits and other types of insects up close. When we put the slide onto the microscope we found out that it was connected to a laptop computer and so we could see the image of the insects on the computer screen.

I really enjoyed the Science Bus very much. It was a great experience for me!.
Karen

When I heard the Science Bus was coming I couldn’t wait until it arrived. I really love science.
The microscope was one of my favourite activities on the Science Bus. When you put a slide under the microscope, it is magnified. It felt like I was a real professor and I’m sure everybody else felt like that too.
Gemma

We looked at dog hair under a microscope. We also saw headlice, a bee’s leg, a fly’s wings. We really enjoyed ourselves and can’t wait to go on it again.
Amy
With the kaleidscope we could see patterns of different colours made with beads.
Shannon
The goo was really gooey! The science instructor was really nice and I learned alot from her!
In this picture you can see use making goo! The ingredients are borax, borax powder, custard powder, borax liquid and food colouring. It was fun making goo! Have you been on the Science Bus?
Amy
When we went on the Science Bus, we made a ball of goo. The ingredients are borax, borax powder, custard powder, borax liquid and food colouring. I thought it was great.

The goo was bouncy and they told us fascinating things. I was very good and I love it!

Someone dipped her hands into the goo and she didn’t like it!

I love the Science Bus. It is very good all the times we go. The goo was good and very slimy.
Margaret

Here we have highlighter on our hands and under the light the highlighter glowed. I learned lots on the Science Bus.
Stacy
This is us playing with cogs and wheels, trying to connect them.
Ciara
We worked with the cogs and wheels. We are trying to make them move together. I enjoyed the Science Bus because I liked the experiments. I learned that Science is fun!
