Solar System
March 2003

Amy, Vicky, Eve, Shannen, Lisa, Illora working on our solar system.

There are nine planets in the solar system. They are Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto. The Sun is a big star. Jupiter is the biggest planet. Mars has no water. Pluto is the smallest planet. We learned an easy poem to remember the order of the planets from the sun. It is 'Men Very Easy Make Jugs Serve Useful Necessary Purposes'. The first letter of each word is the first letter of the planet! We had great fun making our chart on the solar system. Everybody helped and we thought it was lovely.
