Eanna Ní Lamhna visits Sixth Class

In March 2004, Eanna  Ní Lamhna came to visit 6th class, to tell us about her career. She is a scientist, a radio broadcaster and a TV. presenter on Mooney Goes Wild on One. Eanna told us what a scientist does. She tells the news reporters about the weather conditions. Eanna also lectures in schools and colleges to doctors and scientists. We all talked about our possible future careers. Some of us said we wanted to be doctors,  lawyers, artists, archaeologists and business women. She told us what would be involved if we chose a science related job. Then we discussed about all the types of scientists you can be like a botanist, earth scientist or even a pharmacist. We asked her questions about her choice of career. She wanted to be a chef in secondary school but she broke her arm and couldn’t finish home economics. She decided to go to college and become a scientist. Now she is famous on the radio, on the television and in schools. It was a brilliant chance to meet Eanna. We thought it was a very good experience for all our class.
