We love Reading!

In 6th class we read our own novels as well our class novel. Here are some book reviews that we wrote this term

What’s Your Problem? By Sherry Ashworth – Reviewed by Maral

When Jac starts at Markfield she finds that fitting in isn’t quite as easy as she had thought. She gets on the wrong side of streetwise Lisa and her gang. They’re determined to make Jac’s life a misery. Struggling to make sense of what is happening to her, Jac knows she can’t put up with the bullying any longer. She must find a way to beat the bullies, but how? I think it’s a really good book. It is suitable for 11-13 year olds.

Sleep Overs by Jacqueline Wilson – Reviewed by Kellie

I thought Sleep Overs was very good because it was interesting. Any time I tried to put it down I just couldn’t! Different things kept happening every few pages. The only thing that I didn’t like about it was that I would get lost at the start of a chapter but when I’d read on I’d know what was happening. I enjoyed when they’d stay in each others houses and tell stories. It was very surprising when Kim said bad stuff about Chloe’s sister. I would read this book many more times. It is suitable for 8yrs+.

Storm Catchers by Tim Bowler – Reviewed by Natalie

Fin is devastated when his sister Ella gets kidnapped while he is supposed to be babysitting her. The family try to figure out why somebody would take Ella. Family secrets are discovered as Fin, his brother Sammy and his parents try to find Ella. I liked this book a lot because it was interesting and easy to follow. I would recommend it to 12 and 13yr olds.
